New Tasting Notes

Definitely a lot of layers, the rose comes out on top – a very dark, almost peppery black tea. The vanilla is pretty subtle, but it comes out nicely with the rose.

This is a beautiful tea. Pale yellow in colour, smooth and slightly malty to the taste and with a very soft, grassy scent. I got this just exactly right this time: two teaspoons of tea leaves per cup, steeping for one and a half minutes in water at 55C.

A lazy spring afternoon drinking tea and reading a volume of T.H. White’s short stories. Four or five steepings, the third and fourth very rich.

Very light Oolong. Good one as the first Oolong

Steeped a little cooler today but for longer. I can REALLY taste the tangerine more than usual. NICE

Back Logging from Saturday…Perkins Family Restaurants is now carrying specialty bagged tea. This is pretty darn good for a bagged tea. Love the smell and the taste! Delightful!

This tea has a nice strong acai flavor without being overpowering.

Yuck. I really cant get over the smell. It reminds me of vanilla tobacco…in a bad way. The vanilla really over powers the oolong in my opinion. A definite pass in my book.

This was my first of the Adagio Diggnation Blends. I know ginger has great health benefits. It is good but the ginger is a little sharp to my pallet so I can’t say I love it.

Not the best for me. Be very careful with temp and steep time as both can make this tea taste like soap. Even after careful preparation it still seemed off.

This is the tea that got me hooked on Oolongs. Very subtle flavors with a light sweet finish. Great for multiply steeps.

The dry smell is a bit overpowering, like a cherry cough syrup, but the steep is lighter and smoother.

Very smooth green tea… lots of mint flavor with just a hint of vanilla. My current favorite morning tea.

has a very sweet but also roasty green flavor. goes really well mixing it with rice too as an additive :)

This is a very smooth tea. Just what I was in the mood for! I’m running low on it so I’m trying to ration it!

I had a cup of this while playing Catan earlier today. This tea smells amazing. It’s tasty, too, but I could see myself brewing a cup just to make the office smell nice. Loved it.
