48 Tasting Notes
I received this in a holiday swap from KittyLovesTea. Thank You!
The dry tea smells like rich, fresh coconut and is quite pretty to look at as well! It smells pretty sweet too.
The first sip wasn’t as sweet as a expected which is a nice change from the usual flavored teas. It tastes like buttery smooth coconut fresh from the shell! This would be a good afternoon tea to sip at work.I drank half and put the other half of my cup in the fridge. I can’t wait to see what it tastes like iced!
This tea smells great! White grapes, champagne, and floral notes in the dry tea had me very excited to try it. Unfortunately that’s where the love for this tea ends for me. I only got through a few sips, I found it bitter and too floral like for my tastes. I love champagne but I didn’t get that from this tea at all. The first time I followed the steeping instructions exactly, and I tried a few variations but Its still not to my liking.
I don’t think its a “bad tea” it just wasn’t for me.
I was very excited when this tea came out because I love love love freeze dried ice cream. I added milk to my cup. While steeping I can smell the ice cream and the general sweetness, although it smells slightly artificial. The taste is pleasant and very sweet. It’s not a tea I would drink every day but its a nice treat once in awhile. The only issue I have is that it leaves behind a lot of residue in my infuser!
This is my comfort tea. I’m never without a box of it in my cupboard. I won’t deny that loose leaf tastes “better” but nothing will ever replace Tetley’s comfort factor. On a side note, it’s also perfect for dunking cookies!
This was today’s tea in the advent calendar. I was a bit apprehensive and worried it would actually taste salty. It smells fantastic! The taste is rich and buttery without being too sweet. The caramel and the black tea base go really well together! It tastes exactly like caramel toffee- with an interesting twist. The twist being the salt. It didn’t taste salty to me, but the salt helps cut the sweetness. Overall I found this tea absolutely delightful!
I completely forgot I had this in my cupboard. I received a sample of Graveyard Mist in a swap awhile back. I forget who sent it, but Thank You!
While steeping it smells like mint and marshmallows- I’m definitely intrigued! I’m not a huge Sencha fan, but this was surprisingly tasty! I normally don’t care for mint teas but this one made me smile. It has just enough sweetness to compliment the mint. I understand what all the hype was about. I can see this becoming a staple in my cupboard.
This was the first tea in my advent Calendar. It reminds me of buttered rum life savers. A good black tea base, buttery goodness- it’s like a refined desert without the calories!. I didn’t taste the rum, but that may be due to the amount of milk I added. I’d definitely drink this again but I don’t know if I’m going to make it a staple in my cupboard.
I’m going to have to try this!
i LOVE this as a latte!
