Adagio Teas, with Ten Ren and TeaGschwendner make up a trio of Chicago area tea shops that pretty much cover all of your needs. The “Masters Collection” teas change seasonally and feature some vary interesting and quite rare teas that can be purchased in sample tins or in larger amounts. They will steep and sample you out on just about anything in the store as long as you are showing interest. A Great place.

An amazing tea shop that I discovered trying to avoid other tea shops.

I have made a point to stop by this shop every time I go to Chicago. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and immensely laid-back while still helpful. I only wish that there was a standalone Adagio store closer to where I live!

Very friendly staff, happy to let you sample any teas you see and are interested in. Nice wide selection, very knowledgeable staff about the processes behind the different teas. I’ve tried several green teas and have enjoyed them all, their Earl Grey Moonlight is amazing, as is their Green Rooibos Bonita. Their tea cookies are pretty tasty too.
