1629 Tasting Notes
I think my mind is playing tricks on me! I decided to brew up a mug of this instead of using a gaiwan and drinking out of my pretty teacup. I don’t think it tastes as great (even though this is a GREAT tea!) this way. Still yummy and full of strawberry goodness. I’ll have to brew it the old way next time!
I wanted a stronger flavor so I steeped it longer; however, it became a little bitter. It was still drinkable and the scent was fantastic. There was astringency in the back of my throat, especially while I was finishing up my cup. It was creamy, green, and vegetal. Good tea!
Preparation
I made this while I was brewing the thai chai tea earlier. I also ordered some thai food. YUMMY mix! My boyfriend and I had a great dinner. This one tasted a bit… grainy and a bit bitter than usual… I usually put the leaves in a bag while its boiling, but this time I put the leaves straight into the pot. Perhaps thats why. Anyhow, still a great tea! Dessert teas are so delicious to me.
Preparation
I finished up another tea today. So long thai chai. It was nice knowing you while you lasted. I love the combination of flavors involved. Lemon grass, cinnamon, COCONUT, amongst others. The coconut always stands out stronger than the rest for me. The lemon grass just tickles my tongue. I like adding some sugar and milk. I might try to make my own blend with coconut meat… one day… when I’m not too lazy… >_<
