1629 Tasting Notes
Another wonderful sample from Rachel from iHeartTeas !! Thank you so much! :) This one was a delightful treat. When it is dry, there is a faint floral scent to it. Once brewed, it was a nice, dark brown color. The scent was faint, but the taste was wonderful. I love rose petals, and this one was a well blended tea. The keemum’s smokiness balanced the rose petals. The end result is a very floral, perfume-y, slightly roasty and warm blend. There is very slight astringency and it wasn’t bitter. There is a nice sweet taste lingering in the background as well. Good tea!
I received this in a swap from Tommy the Toad ! I think this was the tea that I received? I am not sure, but it is a 2006 ripe Dayi puerh. I’m not experienced in the realm of Pu-erh at all, so I just asked to try any tea! This was was great! It was ripe! I can’t tell differences, but there was something “minty” and refreshing about this tea. I steeped it 7 times, and I know I could have done more! There is a nice scent to this tea. It is earthy and fresh, but in a good way. I was pleasantly surprised! I can’t wait to try another piece.
Preparation
I’m glad I got another go at this tea from Rachel – iHeartTeas. Thank you for this sample! It is creamy and has that nice hint of pumpkin. This goes well with milk and sugar. I love how this tea isn’t “in your face”, but it is nice and subtle. I can pick up the nuances fairly well too. Great tea!
Thank you again Rachel for this delightful sample. This one smelled exactly like root beer float! I love it! I also love that this is rooibos blend. I added some milk and sugar to it to see if it would enhance the flavor and it did! They brought out the creaminess and flavor. Delicious! I need to buy a large size of this tea and try this cold!
I appreciate the sample Rachel (iHeartTeas) ! Thank you! This is a good tea! Tastes like a great version of lemon lipton tea. Very delicious and not bitter! I like the black tea base as well. This is a smooth tea and very simple to make. My husband and I enjoyed it :) Great with honey and lemon!
Preparation
This is such a good tea. I am thankful for this sample from Rachel. Thank you! It is great with sweetener and milk. The creaminess stands out more. Without it, the taste is mild, but the scent is strong and sweet.
I keep cold brewing this tea. It is great! I just add cold water and let it sit in my fridge for 4-12 hours then remove the blend. Delicious and spicy at the same time! It isn’t bitter either. I am afraid to try this hot, but I may try a little of it before I run out of this delicious tea!
Today I added the cold tea to my strawberry smoothie. :) YUM!
