1629 Tasting Notes
Very strong tea. It can get very bitter so I just add a small teaspoon amount of the ground up leaves and leave it in for a few seconds (around 45 seconds). I always have this with sweetener (honey) and it helps to have milk with it too. Comparing this with African Pride Tea and Chai Bora (both are ground up leaves), this is the most bitter. The other two are not bitter and can be steeped longer. I can’t wait to go back to Tanzaniaand buy some more this summer!
Preparation
Delicious! Each time I reach for this tea, it tastes different to me. It is probably because I’m not very accurate in my steeping parameters. I usually estimate. Smells excellent and tastes smooth. It has a nice, subtle cherry accent to it, especially when I let it roll around in my mouth. I know it might sound gross, but I like doing it. _
Yummy! On the plus side, I am finished with my surgical rotation!!! yay! I feel relaxed these days and I finally have some quality time to spend with tea.
Preparation
Not bad. I got these during a swap from another site. It is nice, solid, and smooth. The flavor is mild and not very intense. The bag it comes in is pretty; although, I’m not a huge fan of teabags. I didn’t use any sugar or milk as this tea didn’t need it at all. It wasn’t sweet though, but it wasn’t bitter at all either. Nice tea.
