1015 Tasting Notes
For this tea to be even slightly okay, I have to double up on the amount used. Even then, this tea has a very light taste and I can’t really pinpoint the blueberry flavor. I think my dislike of this tea has to do with my pattern recently: I just don’t really seem to like white teas much. Being a coffee drinker also, I really like strong teas, this is not one of them.
Preparation
Alright, my new tea mission is using up my tea so I can easily justify buying more. To do this, I have to use up the many tea bags I have.
This tea is pretty good. I think that my taste for tea has developed recently and now this doesn’t taste strong enough – I suspect this is due to the quality I have been expecting after drinking so many loose leaf teas. The smell of the bergamot is still amazing though. I will be very interested in finding an Earl Grey loose leaf that is strong on the bergamot when I go shopping. I have dropped my rating just a bit – this isn’t what I was hoping for.
Preparation
The initial smell of this tea is mainly peach, with a hint of mango. However, as the tea develops the role is reversed and you get more of the mango and less of the peach. The color is a very nice orange-lemon citrus like shade. This is a very light tasting tea, nice before bed. I usually like my teas to be a little bit stronger, but I bet that extra steeping time would help a bit.
Update: I just realized that I left half of this cup sitting around…I’m lowering the rating. If it isn’t memorable enough for me to remember that I didn’t finish it, obviously I’m not that much of a fan.
Preparation
I can mainly smell the cinnamon and ginger from this tea. The taste is a bit weak for a chai, I find that it does not hold up well to milk. If you steep this tea at the high end of the range, the spices are weak but distinguishable when served plain. This isn’t my favorite tea, but for a tea bag and a decaf tea, it isn’t bad.
Preparation
I need a good cup of black tea…I got in my espresso machine parts today and I attempted to make some coffee, BUT when I got my coffee ground from Starbucks, apparently they ground the coffee WAY too fine which means my espresso comes out extremely bitter. UGH!!! How frustrating. I’ve been waiting for those parts for a couple of weeks, couple of weeks without coffee and I still can’t have a great cup.
Anyways, I’m having this tea as I had it yesterday, with honey and vanilla creamer. Not exactly the coffee I was wanting, but did serve to get the horrible bitter coffee taste out of my mouth.
