The food is delicious, the teas are quite nice, and in the summer time you can’t beat the view. It’s one of the best places to go for Mother’s Day, or a birthday. Plan to see the gardens while you’re there!
I love, love, love this place. The service is excellent, the food is very good, and the teas are wonderful! I always felt I could get thoughtful recommendations while there, and could stop in for a number of occasions. The Mother’s Day tea they offer is very nice, and includes a tea to send home with mom. Or, I can just dart in after going to the library, hole up in a corner with a ginger scone and a pot of tea to do some reading. Highly recommended!
The food is delicious and elegantly served, the teas are very nice, and the decor is a charming motley of Japanese cuteness with Alice in Wonderland influences. The trouble with this place is it’s accessibility. The hours are quite limited, and if you want to have afternoon tea, you need to call the day before and request it. Otherwise, when you come in you are limited to pastries and tea; which is not the end of the world, but does limit spontaneous going to tea, which is sad.
