124 Tasting Notes
Just bought a whole tin of this on impulse from Whole Foods’ valentine display. I opened up the tin and let the scent waft about my car on the ride home. I was genuinely worried after reading others’ tasting notes that this might turn into a cognitive dissonance thing (hello psych degree) where I’d convince myself I like it just to avoid buyer’s remorse. But I honestly do love this. . . with TONS of sugar. Delicious candy in a cup!
Preparation
The first of this sampler pack that I genuinely enjoy. I accidentally let this steep for 7 minutes instead of the recommended 3-5 and it is not at all bitter. Very light, in fact. I was skeptical of the inclusion of Stevia because it seems that sweetener is a personal preference…however I think it works. Without the sweetener this might actually taste bland.
Preparation
Found glazed donuts waiting for everyone at work today. Hooray free donuts! I thought this would be a good time to try this vanilla spice tea sample I picked up at a cute little shop in Fredricksburg (cute B&B type small TX town). The tea bag smelled heavenly next to the warm donut and it works pretty well in liquid form too. I even gave it a little dunk, as I hear people do such things with donuts and coffee. (note do not dunk donuts in tea unless you enjoy watery donuts).
Preparation
For once, a fruit tea that is not overwhelmed by hibiscus. I honestly like this. “Soft” is a good descriptor for the blackberry flavor. Its not biting me with berry flavor, but its there. This was better without sweetener. After adding agave nectar, it took on a fake candle wax kind of flavor.
