3 Tasting Notes
Now this is a rich, flavourful tea. It’s also my first experience with oolong!
I added a bit of agave and hazelnut creamer because I wasn’t expecting this tea to have so much flavour all on its own.
As a result, I didn’t even taste the licorice flavour. It wasn’t noticeable to me at all (which is good, I’m not a huge licorice fan). But the chocolate and hazelnut clearly comes across while sipping. And in retrospect the agave wasn’t needed at all – this tea is sweet enough (and rich) by itself.
Preparation
this is my tea! every morning and i am a happy girl. i tend to be iffy on caffeine (how i react to it) and i love that i have zero problems with the mate in Main Squeeze.
also, i’m a big fan of fruity teas, and this one just smells so good and tastes even better. the fruit flavour is definitely strong, and exactly what i love the most about it.
the flavour from the mate isn’t very strong when hot, but i find the colder this is the more that earthy flavour seems to stand out. it isn’t bad, just different.
Preparation
love this! it’s a sweeter tea – the caramel flavour really comes across well. there’s also that “pumpkin pie spice” flavour to it, which i really enjoyed. this is one i happily steep for a longer period of time to get as much of that flavour as possible (normally i prefer weaker flavour).
mix with a bit of maple for sweetness and hazelnut creamer and it is so lovely. fall in a cup!
