2 Tasting Notes

Nice tippy leaf exhaling a faint sweet and nutsy aroma. It gives a fine cup with sweet fruity and floral notes. There is a hint of true muscatel. The whole aromatic profile is not as intense as one could expect for such a pricey tea. It is very fresh and likely to improve after a couple of months but if someone asks me if 150 g of this tea is worthy of $191.99 I’d certainly say No! I’ve cupped this tea in several ways since I received it. I feel I was a bit hard with it. It is particularly suited for gongfu cha style preparation (no flash wash, 8 g/100 ml , 6 steepings about 20 to 120 sec). At say $80/150 g it’d be a good buy.

Long, freely twisted leaf exhaling intense sweet, honey-like aroma. The almost same aroma also pretty intense is found in a cup. The tea is very smooth, light bodied and free of adstringence. You can be very liberal when steeping this tea it’s almost impossible to be oversteeped. It is an ideal evening tea because its caffeine content is probably rather low.
