Huge selection of tea and you can try before you buy. I don’t love the decor of the place (not very relaxing). They offer a student discount which is cool.
Great teaware selection; ok tea selection (too many blends); reasonable prices; severe, slightly angry staff. However, this is a nice place to have in Philadelphia. Unfortunately they don’t usually let you try tea before you buy.
Great ambiance and they even served me a pi lo chun on a full bamboo tea tray with a gaiwan, cooling pitcher, and tasting cups. A cast iron tea kettle was presented with a little tea light underneath. It was very impressive.
My only knock on them is the tea selection. Far too many flavored teas and not enough oolongs.
As far as I know, it’s the best tea room in Philly.
Their tea selection isn’t the most unique or interesting, but I would argue that this is one of the best places in New York City to relax and chat over a pot of tea. Staff is really laid-back and you can hang out for hours.
