148 Tasting Notes
This was a really delicious Genmaichai and I was pleasantly surprised! The leaves are a lovely dark green and the flavor of the tea leaves themselves really shines through. There was a nice hint of toasty brown rice flavor. Definitely drinking this again. :)
Preparation
This tea is a mixed bag (pun intended?). I’ve drank a lot of cups of this tea, and sometimes it tastes fantastic and fresh, and other times it’s weak and stale. I guess it depends on how long ago the store stocked it. I find that steeping it on the longer side (around 3 mins) tends to be a good idea.
Preparation
This is my go to when I have a lot of work to do and want a decent cup of tea. It’s not mind blowingly awesome, but I like strong tea and Yorkshire Gold does it. The flavor is pleasantly malty and it’s a caffeine powerhouse.
