3010 Tasting Notes
Ahhh…it’s back under my roof. Basic black, milk-welcoming, cold-weather staple that it is. Four lovely bulk ounces, minus a really, really heaping teaspoon to boot myself out the door this morning.
With apologies to Robert Frost — this tea is lovely, dark, and deep. I’ve miles to go before I sleep. Glad I’ve got this one close to hand.
Made a huge pot this morning—needed something with a punch (on the label and otherwise) after a hard, hard Saturday. Left to himself in the fridge to chill, Thomas is, I believe, even a bit stouter than freshly brewed.
This afternoon I’m raising my mason jar in memory of a dear friend who loved tea, loved kids, loved to write, and loved her God. Jill, save me a place on your front porch in Heaven … we’ll have another cuppa together yet.
Been a long while since I’ve had a cup of this’n. It’s chief appeal after a weary week is the lack of care it requires. Toss it in, leave the bag as long as you want, it’s all lemony-mint comfort. I could take a bath in it. Actually…hmmm….how many bags to a bathtub? :)
I’m glad the review for this one posted when it did … this is perfect for the change of seasons:

Just a personal quirk, but I don’t generally start putting milk in my tea until the weather turns, which it finally did this week.
Knew I’d need some bucking up today, so I made a really strong tumbler of this—deliberately oversteeped—then lightened it up with some half and half. Oh, yum! Coffee personality came out to play.
