Tragedy struck – it’s the last of this tin! But good to the last steep. I must get some more soon.
A beautifully grey, drizzly day bringing those fantastic smells that only a summer rainstorm can bring. A moment’s rest from the world with this tea.

Another cup to keep me alert this evening. A classic flavor.
This time prepared with water at a rolling boil to bring out a brisk bitterness to help me focus.
I’m running out of my breakfast tea! I have to pick up more.
Turned out slightly bitter this time. Water was too hot. However, it plays well with pieces of watermelon :)
First steep prepared in a kyusu with 163 degree F water, steeped for one minute. A fantastic, grassy, sweet aroma, complex, almost savory, vegetal flavor without a hint of bitterness. Sip, pause to contemplate, then swallow.
