13 Tasting Notes
FINALLY A JAPANESE TEA I LIKE!!! It doesn’t bother me that it is considered the poor man’s tea.
This tea is nutty smooth and creamy. Awesome!!! It would probably be pretty good cold.
I believe it is low on caffeine because I drank a cup last night with the intent to stay awake a little longer. I was asleep after the last sip.
Preparation
I guess I am officially a Rooibos fan. Please try this tea if you are looking for a dessert tea to calm down your sweet tooth.
I have had it both hot and cold. When it is hot, the vanilla really comes through in the flavor. When it is cold, the peachy appleness is more dominant.
Good Job TAZO!
Preparation
I am very surprised. I do not know what type of flower osmanthus is but I like it. It aroma turns into this apricot kind of smell (this is the closest description i can think of). I cannot taste apricots. It’s flavor is slightly flowery. It is definitely a different flavor profile for me. I will have to try it a few more times before I decide on whether or not I like it. I definitely want to try it cold. I have a feeling that apricot aroma may be more present in its flavor if I were to drink this tea cold.
Preparation
This is not a bad tea. It smells really good and it should help with my current digestive issues. The taste is mild lemony almost slightly sweet cookie taste. It’s flavor is definitely interesting. I would not suggest using this as a dessert tea. The flavor is not strong enough.
Preparation
This my first time tasting a ginger tea blend. I really can’t smell the ginger. This blend is good tea for easing digestion en route to bed. I would buy it again. But it is not one of my favorites. This would blend well with your favorite green tea.
Preparation
Surprisingly this is still one of my favorite green teas. I like its smooth light flavor. I definitely think this is a good brand to use to introduce loved ones to green tea. I have actually decided to use this brand to introduce my parents to green tea. Also the best part about Bigelow teas is that they are sold by Whole Foods and Wal-Mart! Which means that you are getting a higher quality tea for a very affordable price!!!
Preparation
I definitely like a cup of yerba mate (unsmoked) when I need an interesting pick me up.
This tea is strong and yes it is definitely a tea that you must have an “acquired taste” for (cigarette aroma). But I definitely like its strong, astringent earthy flavor. It is refreshing over ice with a little bit of stevia. This is not a tea I would drink with a meal.
