Maeda-en 2010 Shin-cha Giveaway!
In celebration of their 25th Shin-cha Festival, Maeda-en is having a little contest to give away their amazing 2010 Shin-cha Select: http://maeda-en.com/store/productdetail.php?p_id=005694
They are giving 10 tins to 10 different people (one per person) who best explain why they should win the Shin-cha Select. Once all entries have been collected, Taku, the CEO and Chief Quality Offer at Maeda-en, will pick the 10 best and send free tins to each of those people.
There are two ways you can enter:
1) Post a reply in this discussion and tell us why you should win a tin of 2010 Shin-cha Select.
2) Send a message on Twitter with “I should win the @Steepster @MaedaEN Shin-cha giveaway because” and then finish the message with why you should win. (If you enter by tweeting this message you must be following @Steepster or @MaedaEN on Twitter so you can be contacted).

I should win a tin of 2010 Shin-cha Select because I have yet to try any of Maeda-en’s teas.
I should win a tin because I have never tried this type of tea or this brand of tea and I am always looking for new teas and companies to try!! I would love the opportunity!
I should win a tin of 2010 Shin-cha Select so that I can write a series of three related tasting notes about Maeda-en 2010 Shin-cha here on Steepster! I have already purchased the Tokujo and the Oohashiri through Steepster Select and my Tokujo should be arriving soon as I just got a notice that it shipped. I’d love to try the Select and see how it compares!
I should win a tin because I have not yet tried this brand and would very much like to do so!
I should win this tin because I have never tried this type of tea and would love to give it a whirl.
I should win the @Steepster @MaedaEN Shin-cha giveaway because I have never gotten to try a Maeda-en brand tea or a Shin-cha tea
Green teas are a new love for me, but a deep love already. I smell the leaves, I smell the tea, I can’t stop sniffing while it steep and while I sip. It is the taste of spring and all that is green and botanical. The first few sips of each cup take me away from my life briefly to some place outdoors and beautiful. The rest of the cup I keep sipping as I continue whatever task is at hand in a productive tea-aided state. I immediately must resteep until my leaves are spent. I think I should win a tin of Maeda-en’s 2010 Shin-cha Select because I would love to drink another new green tea as I continue my quest to try as many teas as I can. I’ll also admit I’m mad curious to try eating the spent leaves and see if they taste like spinach.
I would have to say green teas are my favorite out of all the different types of teas and tisanes. While drinking them, they have always had a very nice calming quality and always bring a nice memory of spring or summer. So far all the Maeda-en products I’ve tried have been quite good, such as their green tea ice cream and green tea mochi ice cream… I’m quite fond of their Shiki Matcha powder. I think I should win a tin of 2010 Shin-cha Select because I enjoy Maeda-en products, I have never had Shincha before, and I always love trying new green teas!
I should win because I’ve never tried any tea from Maeda-en and I’d really like to.

I should win a tin because I love Japanese greens and I’ve never tried this particular variety or anything from this company. I’m always looking for new vendors to buy quality tea from and this would give me an opportunity to determine if Maeda-en would be a contender.
