Hello friends – our ginat projects and new programs at our tea house have kept me away from Steepster, and that’s part of the reason I wanted to make sure and share here again. Though big things are brewing here in Minneapolis, we decided it’s absolutely time to bring the party and the celebration back online.
That’s why for the month of August, we’re bring Happy Hour online!
http://verdanttea.com/online-happy-hour-daily-tea-deals/
From 3-4pm CST (right now!) we’ll be sharing a new tea deal every day. Today, for example, you can try the He Family’s 1st Picking Laoshan Green tea and save 10%.
We’ll be switching up the savings every day with something new, so I’ll do my best to keep everyone up to date with social media! Most of all, we want everyone to have fun, even if you can’t pop into our Minneapolis shop and share Happy Hour with us in person.
Awesome promotion, and quite a bit of fun. Thanks.
Best of luck with all of your new projects!
Thank you, yyz! We’re very excited to pull the trigger on some of our bigger plans this week. If you ever end up in the land of 10,000 lakes, I’d love to share a cup or three in person with you.
Thank you Lily from the land of beautiful lakes ( gross translation of Ontario), that would be wonderful.
Can’t wait until September…really hoping i can squeeze in a quick visit while i’m there for work!
@yyz – glaciers made some gorgeous places here in North America. I hope to get over to Ontario some time soon!
@Sil – really?! That would be great! If you can squeeze in the time, we would love to see you. Please let me know so I can be there to introduce myself in person.
For a second I thought you were announcing that you and David had decided to venture out into the world of chocolate and got so excited.
@Mandy – oh, don’t tempt me! We’ve got a moratorium on new businesses for the next few months ;) We just helped launch a kombucha brewery and a craft soda business, along with growing our own chai program here in the Twin Cities. Coupled with the Tea House’s new food and drink, we want to make sure we’re not stretching ourselves too thin! But, oh boy – it is REALLY tempting XD I would not be surprised if we worked in chocolate somehow in the next few years.
Speaking of chocolate and tea- I’m late getting back to you about your tea + chocolate TTB! Apologies, Mandy. Look out for an e-mail from me soon :)
Today’s Happy Hour is already underway, featuring: Laoshan Roasted Oolong!
I spent the afternoon out on our patio with this one, watching the tiny bees and butterflies in our planter boxes and flowers, just marveling at how lucky we are to get to share a tea like this one.

If you’ve got an open window or a nice seat outside, I highly recommend taking your tea outdoors this season when the weather allows! There’s nothing quite like tea in nature to calm the mind.
Golden Tips tea samplers are 50% off. No info on how long the sale lasts.

Try code NM10 for an additional 10%.
Wow, for example the oolong sampler is $5 for 70g.
I don’t get it. It says every sampler is 10g and good for about 5 cups. Black sampler consists of 77 black teas. So how many grams each sample then? I need 3G of tea for a cup
Seems like 10G of each and 5 cups assuming you use 2G per serving.
That one is 77 teas x 10g each.
Must not buy more tea – I really really need to stop reading this thread….. :))
I bought the Assam sampler a while back and was really happy with it.
I’m trying really hard not to fill my cart. Argh!
Please let me know if that coupon code stacks with the sale.
Dexter, remember , Yixing pots, Mandala teas, Yunnan Sourcing. Golden Tips is a different opera
The code worked. “You have successfully applied the coupon NM10 with a value of $5.20 USD.” I haven’t actually purchased yet though.
LOL that’s a nice thought boychik – but really in my world, I have to stop buying ALL CONCERT tickets… ;))
Went ahead and purchased. Some of this will be gifts. :D Also love the small packages for travelling.
$20 shipping though, ouch.
I purchased $50 worth for the free shipping. Picked up some muscatel teas I should love.
Might be a good time for another combined order?
