Steepster Bug Status Thread
Is there currently an issue with Steepster PM system? I’m having difficulty (multiple attempts w/o success) sending a PM using Edge, IE11 and Firefox. Thanks

I was supposed the be the recipient of it. I can get it in my direct email but not from the Steepster site.
@mrmopar What happens when you try to view the message on Steepster? You hit an error page or the message just isn’t there? Are you having this problem with any other messages, with any other users, or is it just this one?
I usually geta message from looseTman and Stockman each day but I didn’t get any today, I sent looseTman a test message a few minutes ago to see if it is on his side or mine.
I’ve accidentally submitted a tea that has the wrong information on it and it won’t let me edit because my account had to be one month old. Surely if I’m the creator of the tea submission I should be able to edit it?
Not if you’re a newer account. There was a huge spam problem for a while and brand new users could create and modify things and cause a lot of mess, so this measure was imposed. If you link it, one of us can tidy it up for you though!

I will add everything else later, just want to make sure I can review the proper name and place it’s from :)
I can’t “like” tasting notes
Sorry to hear that. Is it still happening? Have you tried clearing your browser cache/cookies and making sure you’re logged in? Let me know!
I am now having this problem too. When I try to like a tasting note I am logged out and brought to the first page of Steepster where people sign up telling me to sign up.
I was changing around my account information so that my “Display Name” would match my “Account Name”, which they didn’t. It looked like it was messing up things more than helping, so I changed it back to how it was before. Now my “Tealog” gives me an error message when I click on it.
Also, if I click the link for my name from anywhere on the site, I get the same error message:
“Nothing to see here…

The account name is “teacheesey”. It looks like the steepster.com/teacheesey link is broken, but all the other associated steepster.com/teacheesey/* are working…

You may have to clear your cookies or sign out and then back in. I clicked on you and it showed your page from my computer.
I logged out, then in again earlier, and it hadn’t worked. It looks like the system automatically logged me out again at some point and now everything is working again. I think I’ll just deal with names that don’t match…

No worries. I just wanted to check it on my end. I have to log out and then back in sometimes too.
There isn’t the best validation on the username fields, which generate the profile URLs, so usernames that has an invalid character can cause the page to hit an error because of the bad URL. That’s probably what happened and then it sounds like the error page may have been cached on your browser, which is now cleared. Glad to hear it’s working again though!
Hi! New to this site and I love it, but I cannot slide the bar to change temperature, steep time, or review points when reviewing a tea from my phone on a Chrome browser. I can’t seem to find an app, is there a particular mobile browser that will let me rate teas?
They haven’t updated anything to do with phones yet I think. Maybe someday we will see an app :p
I’m trying to replace an image for a tea but it’s not sticking. I’ve tried both using a URL and uploading from my computer.
Yes, this is the problem I just mentioned on page six. Sad to see this was happening three months ago.
For the last couple weeks, if I try to upload photos for new teas, the first one loads but then the next one and all after that don’t work at all.
