To me the aroma was very floral with a hint of lemon and sage. Once brewed I could smell the lemon, but it was not over powering. It has a very light floral taste that finished clean, with the lemon and alfalfa. I never had alfalfa and I did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not overpowering or bitter, it added a clean note that was well enjoyed. I did add a teaspoon of raw honey to my tea, which added just the right amount of sweetener. This tea could very well be enjoyed on its own and I look forward to my next cup.

This is a household of tea drinkers – well, my husband and myself actually. I have a summer affair every year with iced tea. But when the colder temps hit, it is hot tea that I crave. However, that tea cannot be overly strong and bitter. Otherwise, it turns me off.
Waygood Tea’s Ginger Rooibos Cleanse does not taste bad at all. It has a pleasant flavor, without getting that bitter aftertaste I usually get with other ginger teas. It has a wonderful underlying sweetness that makes me want to go back for more. But, I know that it is not the greatest idea, because, after all, it is a cleansing tea. Now, whether or not this cleansing tea works how it is supposed to work, I cannot comment. I started taking it on the first day of influenza. Now, it did help alleviate my symptoms, but with my body ejecting everything as it was, I cannot really tell. Was it is the tea or was it the flu? Time will tell. I will continue to drink this tea because it does taste delightful. It is light and sweet without any overpowering flavor. I do recommend this for general consumption – with a note of caution.Full disclosure: I was sent this product free of charge in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
Waygood Tea is a new company to me and this was one of their teas that I was interested in trying. I love Earl Grey and was interested in the “cleanse” aspect of it. When I first steeped the tea, I could immediately smell the lavender emanating from the mug. At first sip, it’s a light and earthy taste. The black tea hides beneath the rosemary, orange and lavender flavours. Overall, a good tea to have at any time of day and is best served hot/warm.
Flavors: Lavender
Preparation
This tea is delicious. It tastes like sage, alfalfa, rose and jasmine. It’s very comforting. It’s also beautiful. The packaging is really nice and looks good sitting on the counter. It brews really well in 5 minutes but I usually leave the tea bag in when I drink it. It is supposed to be a mild cleansing tea. I haven’t noticed any negative reactions to it at all. You get 22 sachets in the box. Most of them are in one plastic bag, but there are some on the outside that are individually packaged. Overall I’ve really enjoyed this tea and I will be picking it up again at some point.
Flavors: Jasmine, Rose, Sage
Preparation
Flavor: There is hardly any trace of lemon. Rather the cleanse tastes like a mild rose tea with a bouquet of jasmine flowers, rose petals, and rosemary.
Product: 22 full-leaf satchels in individual packets. The package the tea comes in is quite lovely in of itself and would make a good gift box for the upcoming holiday season.
Cost: $16.95 (on WayGood Tea’s website); free USPS shipping to anywhere in the U.S.
Detoxifying Qualities:
Improved Mood Reduced Bloating Better Focus Enhanced Metabolism Increased Energy Effective Weight Loss Restful Sleep WayGood Tea recommends one cuppa a day. I have tried the cleanse for a little less than a week and so far no noticeable results. It tastes good but there is no improvement to my mood, focus or energy. If you enjoy a mild and refreshing cuppa of herbal (caffeine free) tea – especially a rose flavor – this would definitely be a worthwhile purchase.
If you are looking for a cleansing tea, I cannot recommend WayGood Tea because of the lack of personal results.
I hope this has been helpful! Now go enjoy your own cuppa this afternoon. xx

WayGood Tea is a new company to me, and when given the chance, I was happy to review this tea for them. They are based in Seattle and the focus of the company is promoting wellness through healthy tea. The product line consists of four blends; one contains camellia sinensis and the other three are tisanes. I was allowed to choose which one I wanted to review, and since I quite like both Earl Grey and lavender, this one was a no-brainer for me.
