Finishing off with the kombucha that was my personal favourite out of the line of three. It reminded me in a lot of ways of the Hops flavoured kombucha from Club Kombucha, which is another local to Quebec brand. However, I think this one is actually better! It really felt like the essence of summer bottled down into a can. Light, refreshing, and aromatic with a flavour that leaned citrusy and a little floral from the hops matched with a complex tropical burst of flavour. It’s hard to say exactly what the “tropical” fruits were per say, but I just know that it TOTALLY gives off the feeling of that summer escape/getaway. Also reminds me of a very good citrusy IPA but with a little fruit juice. Like a Radler, but make it tropical!
All in all, soooo thirst quenching and surprisingly so much going in a very tasty and cohesive way. Loveeeeed this one!
Of the three flavours I tried this is definitely the most common flavour across other brands, and it also seems like it would be the safest/crowd favourite when serving to other people. I thought it was just incredibly refreshing and the lemon flavour was so incredibly clean, natural and delicious! It was like a cross between sort of straight up lemon juice and very good lemonade. My only fault for this one is that the ginger was so light/mild that I thought it would have almost been stronger to just not include it at all.
Y’all know me. Anytime I see a new kombucha brand I just need to try them!
This is a local to Quebec brand, and I ended up picking up the whole line since most of the flavours were actually kind of interesting. This one intrigued me because it’s a bit more unexpected to see a kombucha flavour that’s just florals and not like a “Lemon Lavender” or a “Hibiscus Rose”. So, I was excited to see just how floral it might be.
Turns out, it’s a lot! I think this was my least favourite of the three flavours I tried, though it still wasn’t bad. Just incredibly lavender heavy in a way that was a tiny by soapy tasting to me, and just not the most naturally complimentary to the tang of the kombucha. Though, I will say that this (and all the other flavours) were definitely on the lighter end of the “kombucha funk” spectrum. They almost seemed like more of a sparkling iced tea in a lot of ways over a true kombucha.
