I used around four teaspoons in a 150ml gaiwan and steeped it for one minute. That may have been a little too long, or maybe I used too much tea, because it’s a bit too bitter. It reminds me of Rishi’s Ancient Emerald Lily, but with a bit of muscatel flavor. I’m not sure if I prefer this to steeping it in a mug with the Finum filter. I’ll have to try using less tea, steeping it for 30 seconds, and using cooler water, but not all at once.
Preparation
This tea has a very light flavor to me. The first time I tried it, I was able to get a light muscatel flavor, but that’s about it. This time, I steeped in in a 12 oz. mug with two heaping teaspoons of tea. I can taste the muscatel flavor a bit more, and a sort of leafy freshness. It’s still light, but pleasant. I wonder how it would taste if I steeped it in a gaiwan instead.
