Now having had plain Chamomile and not really enjoying it, it did come as a bit of a shock to find myself standing in the queue to buy this.
But I’m kind of glad I did. The addition of the honey and vanilla definitely make this tea more of a drinkable proposition.
Can’t see myself seeking this out but it can be good if I’m out of Redbush and caffeine isn’t appropriate or viable.
Preparation
Sadly, this isn’t tasting quite the same for me at work. I guess it might really need boiling water, rather than whatever comes out of the hot water spigot from the coffee machine.
I think I need to bump this up a bit. I was craving some fall-themed teas, so I came home from the grocery store with this and Stash’s Pumpkin Spice decaf. I had this one this morning, and I was pleasantly surprised. It definitely needs to be steeped more concentrated – 2 tea bags in about 8 ounces of water, then an ounce or two of milk. I didn’t set a timer, so I probably steeped it a bit long as I was getting ready for the day. The apple came through especially well today – very nice!
Of course, since I said in my previous note that I wouldn’t go for this tea every day..it’s actually been in heavy rotation lately. Probably every other day, alternating with Cameron’s Black Currant. It might have something to do with the fact that I’m low on bagged black teas, and I’m feeling especially lazy lately. But I think it also speaks to the fact that this tea is growing on me enormously. It is nice with both sweet and savory breakfast foods – especially as a nice counterpoint to something sugary.
I picked out this tea because of the smoky flavor, but I’ll admit I was a bit alarmed when it seemed to make my whole kitchen smell like campfire the first time I brewed it. Don’t be alarmed; while the smell is quite smoky, the flavor is smooth and strong, not overly smoky. The scent did seem to linger in the kitchen, though, and I definitely smell this tea when I open the tea cabinet even though the bags are individually wrapped. If strong scents bother you, you should probably skip this one. Definitely a distinctive tea – not one I go for every day.
Strong flavor, very peachy almost overpowering but for a peach lover its great. Stong black tea and quite a caffine kick. Powerful aroma. Amazing iced, on par with iced Lady Grey, especially as it melts because the ice makes it much weaker and colder which i love at the end. Strong enough to make bigger amounts near 20oz
Preparation
I havent had manyyy others to compair to and never loose leaf which im interested in trying but quite enjoyable. Not the strongest flavor, compaired to black teas, but its not ment to be, nice and subtle. One pure flavor. I let it steep up to 10 minutes in a mug, covered so the oils dont evaporate out. I would recomend it for anyones night time tea collection.
Preparation
Unlike many fruit-flavored herbal teas, this tea has a smooth, subtle taste, neither sour nor artificial. The ginseng sharpens the brew, adding depth and complexity to what would otherwise be much like a German früchtetee. Be prepared for the stimulating mental effects of ginseng; this tea does not contain a very large amount, but neither is the dose small.
Preparation
Maybe not the worst tea bags you have ever tasted. Without doubt the best Earl Grey tea bags I’ve tried. It is wonderful, but it is not detestable. Here in Spain, is the best tea flavored with bergamot that can be purchased at any supermarket or mall. I continue to stand behind loose leaf tea, a good Darjeeling Earl Grey Second plantagentee.
Sorry for my bad English.
Preparation
Idk. All these scented green teas in teabags from Twinings taste somehow artificial to me. Cant taste what loose green tea tastes like in them. Just the added scents which don’t convince me either. I mean its not bad and many can like this for sure but i prefer genuine loose tea taste. Classic Earl Gray (black tea) from Twinings on the other hand i kinda like. Tastes way closer to the real thing. Would like to try loose green earl gray. Maybe this is how it tastes. Not a big fan atm…
Btw bergamot is quite strong in it…
