This is a really nice matcha powder with a mild minty flavour.
It’s smooth and refreshing and I am really enjoying putting a tablespoon of it into my morning Acai Berry protein shake. Just gives it a little kick!

No aroma. The leaf is very very small. The wet leaf has a decent smell. It kind of reminds me of the Lipton Raspberry iced tea I used to like before discovering what tea really tastes like without sugar. Yeah, it’s that exactly. Can definitely tell they used flavoring. It’s decent. The taste reminds me of that Lipton blend as well. But there is also an unpleasant note. Something like if you were to lick the air in a hair salon. Don’t go try that for my sake, don’t want anyone getting arrested. It also tastes old. Like maybe it has been sitting for a bit in this bag.

Dust and fannings. This is why I hate when people use the word premium for their leaves. I just had a “premium” oolong this afternoon and now this is being called premium… Come on now. Also their main website isn’t working. Though it says “It Works” Which is .. weird. The lemon jumps out right away. Kind of sweet like a lemon drop candy. Earthy. Pile of wet and dry leaf. Dry wall. My lemon drop descended into a pile of leaves and without rinsing it off, I put it in my mouth. Well, it’s not terrible but I wouldn’t seek it out either.

Not very flavorful but definitely very caffeinated. Feeling a little resentful that it’s already got me amped up and I’m only one cup in for the day. Especially since it’s nothing special.

Boiling 5 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

A lovely mild, smooth green tea with a juicy, ripe raspberry flavour. Simple and delightful. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I was skeptical at first because the fragrance seemed rather…artificial (iykyk). But I was pleasantly surprised to find that the flavor was quite mild. I drank this hot but I’m thinking it would work well in the summer as an iced tea.

I nabbed a couple of these teabags from an ancient teabox… so really this is not a fair note for a tea that is YEARS old. Also, their teabag packaging is simply a paper that is folded over with an open flap so there is NO WAY this can stay fresh. But I liked this! A decent green tea that sometimes tasted like there was matcha in the teabag and also still a remainder of sweet pineapple flavoring. I wouldn’t mind having this around but their packaging needs improvement.

My general opinion of Touch Organic Teas is that they are, snitching a word from Bill McNeil of WNYX (you had to be around in the 90’s), adaquatulent. Not very strong, any of them, but neither are they finicky. And because I am just too weary to lift the bag out of the cup, this one has stayed in mine for a good 10-12 minutes now without being bitter, and proving its apricot-i-ness nicely.

It has adaquacifity.

This one is growing on me. It tolerates hotter water than more fancy-pants white teas, and as a matter of fact, the apricot is more evident when I steep right after the kettle boils.

This afternoon, I’m in need of cold drinks instead of warm and I dumped half a mug of this with half a mug of this morning’s Tazo Awake, iced down the whole thing, and it’s just plumb tasty. Ice tea with a twist of apricot.

Another clearance-shelf snag to take to work, but I tried a cup at home first. Not bad, but a little less fruity than anticipated—the white tea leads, for sure. Another review called it “grassy” and that’s a pretty good descriptor. Summery hay grass. I wasn’t giving it my full attention, so next try, I’ll try to ferret out the fruit!

Apricot is such a strong flavor, I am surprised it didn’t lead!

(Been a little distracted since this weekend :)

Maybe it is very lightly flavored, though. They might just want their white tea to shine with a hint of fruity sparkle. :)

I just had a cup. The apricot is definitely an afterthought, but it’s still a good low-caf afternooner.

Christmas gift from Caleb.
Cold brewed this tea and i love it! the dry leaf is very bitter and artificial scented, but brewed it tastes delicious. Mango is present, but maybe peach and citrus as well? I like it!

I have the powder version of this that comes in the little tubes that you rip open and sprinkle into your mug.
Talk about green! Wow! What a vibrant colour when you add the water! A full-bodied tea with lots of grassy, vegetal flavour. I do not find it bitter at all.
Perfect for a hectic morning!

Delicious, slightly sweet. Refreshing, yet drying on the tongue. Would be interested to see if this would mix well with mango nectar.

Well now, it has certainly been a minute since I last logged in. I notice that I tend to come back to this site when I’m drinking new teas, and I tend to drink new teas when my life feels “good”, for lack of better word. Well, my windows are open, the air is cool, and fall seems to finally be here, and I feel in incredibly high spirits. So, here we are!

This tea is sweet and has hints of the pineapple, but isn’t overbearing. Overall, I would say this was a great way to enjoy the afternoon. Happy Fall everyone!

Another swap tea!

So I previously prepared this one cold-brewed, and it was pleasant enough. Grassy, as expected, but since I used cold water it wasn’t bitter. The strawberry flavor is extremely artificial, like eating some kind of cheap strawberry candy. There’s also an odd floral/perfumey note to it.

This time I’m drinking it as an iced latte, and it’s also pleasant. Again, I used cold water so no bitterness. The floral aspect of the flavoring is perhaps a touch less noticeable, but it’s still there. It tastes like a delicious artificial strawberries & cream milk tea, heh.

Not something I would ever buy (though 3 Leaf doesn’t offer strawberry matcha for some reason…) but I enjoyed the three sticks I had. Undoubtedly a cheap matcha, but since I drank it iced it didn’t matter much. I’m not in the habit of drinking flavored matcha hot, and I almost never make hot lattes either.

That reminds me that I have some of this somewhere in the back of my cupboard. I don’t recall how I felt about it.

This one is a survivor after months of office neglect. It is not elegant, fruity, or floral; just mildly toasty and not finicky. A keeper, at least for a while longer.
