Timothy’s Tea is one of my favorites! I was given a gift set from my boyfriend (named Timothy) for Christmas one year and loved it so much, but we have been unable to find it anywhere!
Preparation
I took a sip and immediately said, “Bleh bleh!” This is not good. It’s not horrendous. I’ve definitely had way worse. But I would need to add milk and sweetener to make this drinkable. The base is not something I’d like to drink straight and reminds me of why I stopped drinking low quality bagged teas years ago. I suppose if I didn’t know what I was missing in high quality loose leaf teas, I’d probably think this is just fine. But I do know what I’m missing!
Preparation
This is a light peppermint tea. I’m not getting any ginger. It’s much less minty than a straight peppermint tea, but the base is sort of invisible (read tasteless/unidentifiable). It’s an ok bagged tea. Definitely drinkable but nothing I’d write home about or re-stock.
Preparation
The brewed tea aroma is Ceylon with a hint of spice. The first flavor to hit my tongue is almond followed quickly by vanilla. This actually isn’t bad at all for an old bagged tea. I’m not getting much in the way of spice or apple; it just tastes like vanilla and almond to me. Since I like those two things, this is a pleasant surprise! It’s not an amazing tea but I definitely think it’s share-worthy.
Flavors: Almond, Vanilla
Preparation
The brewed tea aroma is minty, but the taste is pretty empty. I’m getting something vaguely minty and vaguely tea-esque. But there’s nothing strong about the flavorings here. I read the ingredients and am definitely not getting cinnamon, ginger, pineapple, or rose. There’s nothing relatively peppery either. It doesn’t taste bad; it just doesn’t taste like anything. I’m calling this one a bust.
Preparation
I received this Holiday set for Christmas last year, and the first flavor that I ventured to try was this Irish Cream…and I was literally obsessed! I was drinking two or three cups in a day, up until I realized I was depleting the supply out of the Holiday collection like it was the last on earth. Oops.
Quite mild for a black tea, but the Irish Cream flavor is not shy, and that’s the best part. This is seriously one of my favorite teas, definitely should be had with cream and sugar to really bring out the Irish Cream notes of chocolate and hazelnut.
If you at all like Bailey’s or any other sort of Irish Cream, you’ll definitely enjoy this…if you can find where to buy it! It slays me that I can’t find this tea online (though you can find Timothy’s Irish Cream coffee), so fingers crossed that they’ll be making the same, or a similar Holiday tea set. Hopefully Santa can pull through for me again this year, because it’s really all I’m hoping for for Christmas. ♥
A pleasant black tea featuring a very comfy melody of apple and cinnamon! The tea itself is very mild and in fact, I might call it a little weak. You can leave this to steep for quite a while; I usually leave it in my travel mug while drinking it.
Funnily enough, when had with cream and sugar, it reminds me distantly of apple cinnamon oatmeal, so it’s definitely nice to have with breakfast.
When I first got my Keurig, I couldn’t imagine the day I would be able to live without it. I mean, I still use it to dispense my hot water (because it’s much easier than fussing with kettles and knowing when to stop pouring and such, although that can absolutely be done—I’m just lazy and scared). Anyway, still love the machine overall, and I do enjoy the occasional coffee from it, but I obviously don’t use it for its original purpose as much anymore. But this morning we were in a rush, and i didn’t have time to steep anything properly (and I hate rushing things like that), so I just brewed up a k-cup of this. It’s odd to me that I used to like it, although it’s not entirely a bad tea option given that it brews for like five seconds. I’m definitely getting the cinnamon and some spices, but overall it’s a fairly watery, thin, lackluster option. but will it do in a pinch? it sure will.
