I bought this a while back and finally got around to trying it. I made it with almond milk and heated it on the stove. I really wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the white chocolate, and I think I agree with the previous reviewer that it was unnecessary, but I kind of enjoyed it as something different than my usual chai. When I was sipping it, it first tasted like regular chai but then the chocolate taste would sneak in through the back door and surprise me. Interesting blend for sure! I’m not sure I would repurchase it but I’m definitely glad I tried it.
Over the past week or so I have been tinkering with this interesting product! It’s a concentrate and I used equal parts concentrate and milk. It has a creamy spicy perfume type smell to it and I have enjoyed both hot and cold versions of this. It’s more milkier or creamy or latte-like than I thought it would be but that is alright. The spices are certainly there and take a few seconds after the initial sip to ‘kick in’ but once you taste those spices they are fairly spicy.
After spending some time with this I have decided that I do like it just fine and dandy.
As much as I love chai brewed from loose leaf, it is nice to have this concentrate. It makes it so easy to have a delicious cuppa… no steeping (no stovetop mess!) and steaming of milk or anything else, just measure and zap in the microwave. Simple and yummy!
I really love this particular chai too (although I haven’t yet tried the others from this company to compare them) I love the spiciness of it. The ginger really pops in it. Peppery and delish!
This is YUM!
This is a concentrate. It isn’t as sweet as many of those concentrates out there and I’m liking that. I like that I can taste the black tea as well as the spice, and quite obviously from the name of this particular variety, the ginger is front and center. Quite alright with me since I love ginger. This is spicy and yummy! Nice and warming. Comforting. A cuppa that is making me smile!
I wandered through Whole Foods looking for that sparkling jasmine tea, and I couldn’t find it anywhere, but I did find this. What the heck! Looks interesting, so I thought I’d try it.
It’s nicely spicy, and isn’t sickly sweet like some pre-made chai tea can be. But I wasn’t too pleased with the chocolate – it felt like gilding the lily; unnecessary and too fussy.
