drank Amaretto Cherry by Tea Friends

I was in a store that has the loose leaf Tea Friends so thought I would pick it up. They have some misses but usually when I find a hit..I LOVE it. This…meh. Sounds better than it tastes. First of all…don’t drink it hot . Just typical sour hibiscus-rose hip. Cold it’s much better. I can taste the “Amaretto Cherry” part. A little kool-aide and then something a bit weird…maybe the boozy part. It’s drinkable..but I don’t really enjoy it.

drank Ananas Kiwi by Tea Friends

I was excited to try more of the fruity teas after discovering I really like hibiscus fruity tea….cold. This wasn’t as great and the cherry banana but it was ok. There’s others I would pick over this but it still was worth trying. Just the regular hibiscus taste with a little sourness from the kiwi. Couldn’t pick up much pineapple.

drank Stress Gone by Tea Friends
280 tasting notes

I just finished the little baggie I had of this. Funny thing is, the whole time I was drinking it thinking it was green tea. Complete with thinking it was keeping me up…ha. Anyway, it smells so good. The best peach scent ever. But…I don’t like the taste. It just tastes off to me. And makes me want peach juice. It’s drinkable…I just don’t ever want to drink it again. I think there is just something off. One of those little herbs in it. I feel less stressed though. Could be placebo. IDK.
Here’s the ingredients:
Peaches (peaches, separating agent: rice flour), bean pods, mistletoe, birch leaves, St. John’s wort, lemongrass, aroma, nettle leaves, orange blossom, safflower flowers

Flavors: Peach

Preparation
Boiling 8 min or more 3 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML

Smells nice. But overall way to sour. And like many herbal teas it’s mostly hibiscus and rosehips. I was disappointed with this one.

I think this is my first Darjeeling Tea. How have I never had this before? Black teas are my favorite and this one is alazing. Although looking at it, there were definitely some green leaves in there. It’s mostly whole leaves, a lot of pieces. I usually like it with sugar and foamed milk. With those additions it tastes rich and malty. Love it!! Doesn’t resteep well however.

Boiling 4 min, 45 sec 1 tsp 7 OZ / 207 ML

drank Turkischer Apfel by Tea Friends

When I first tried it, I loved it. The novelty has worn off a bit though. It’s a decent apple flavor but I don’t like the lemony or citrus aspect that much. Prolly better cold. Also since it weighs a bit you don’t get as much for your money and it doesn’t resteep well.

Flavors: Apple

Boiling 3 min, 45 sec 2 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

Earl Grey is one of my favorite teas. And I haven’t really met one I don’t like. It’s great. I like it. And would buy again!

drank Orange Vanille by Tea Friends

I bought this because orange vanilla is on of my favorite flavors. Like a yummy creamsicle. I really don’t like this though. It’s bothing like orange or vanilla. It’s just straight up nasty. I bought it at kauflands. The best tea from this brand seem to be the floral green tea and the Turkish Apple. This is a pass. Unfortunately I have a ton so I’ll be drinking it exclusively on The Weekends to try and get rid of it.

Preparation
Boiling 2 min, 45 sec 2 tsp 14 OZ / 414 ML

I’ve come to the conclusion that I really like floral green tea. Wasn’t so sure about it at first but by my second cup I new I loved it. Just a touch of sugar either warm or cold. Just good tea all around and not too common of a flavor. This is my first rose tea. Highly recommended and wish I had more. Gets a couple resteeps.

drank Ananas by Tea Friends

This is another tea my parents sent me. I think it’s pineapple, but it sure doesn’t taste like pineapple, it just tastes like a mean green tea. It’s ok, but not something I want again. I can drink the rest easily enough. It’s better than bagged Lipton anyway. I just expected more of a fruity flavor.

drank Pina Colada by Tea Friends

My parents sent me this tea from Germany. Some of their teas I adore, but this is not one of them. It has a very plastic taste/ scent. A little coconut but mostly plastic, with the faint taste of hibiscus. Sour hibiscus. Long story short I hate this stuff and am in a hurry to finish up the rest I have.

I’m obsessed with the Stockholm Blend that the Tea Centre in Sydney puts out.
As such, the first thing I did when I arrived in Germany was raid their tea stores and see if anyone makes anything similar. I found none that do and my sister recommended that I go to a nearby big Edeka store with larger tea varieties before I give in to withdrawal symptoms and order the blend from Sweden.

Orange-Vanille is what I found in Edeka that happened to smell the most like the blend I so love in Sydney. The taste isn’t the same however, obviously. The smell of the actual brew has a lot more of an overpowering citrus smell and the flavour at times overpowers the vanilla too.

It’s not a bad blend perse, but I wish the vanilla would come out more.

Flavors: Orange Zest, Vanilla

Memily

Can you mod it by throwing some chopped-up vanilla bean in there maybe?
