So glad this is another blend that’s upgraded from theme of the month to orange box! I noticed Lamington has done that too. All the best ones! Good work, T2. But also darn you.
I bought another box of this to top up my dwindling supply and also to get me over the free shipping threshold in T2’s recent sale. I couldn’t resist those cute morning and night cups with the eyes on them!
Preparation
Today’s been the perfect bed day. I’ve basically gotten out of bed three times—once to get tea (this one) and toast (Vegemite & avocado) for breakfast, then to go pick up fish and chips for dinner, and just now to make another cup of tea (this one again) and a block of chocolate (pretzel & peanut dairy milk).
I’ve watched the second half of Vikings S3 (after watching the first half last night) and now I’m watching Louie S5. I may be living my best life. And/or I’m panicking about being flat out for the next two weeks with the festival! Eek! Whee! Getting hoodies and accredition at the info session tomorrow and I am STOKED.
AND also seriously enjoying this tea again today. Milky, sugary, turn it into banana candy. <3
Yeah, this tea is incredible. Be careful, though, because it is possible to brew it a little too long. It can get a bit astringent! Easily amended with some sugar and milk, because it’s true, this tea is awesome in all forms. Just watch the oversteeping—keep it to around 3mins.
Preparation
I discovered this tea last year on the final day of my trip to Brisbane, Australia and immediately developed a crush. Creme Brûlées are my all time favourite dessert; so if not the name, the mouth watering scent certainly did the trick and I purchased with gusto.
The leaves have a beautiful rich darkness about them, complimented with the small pieces of hazelnut which create the loveliest contrast- leaving me absolutely ecstatic to try this as soon as I got it home.
Unfortunately the first cup I made was a disaster (too much milk, didn’t steep for long enough, etc) and I was left utterly disappointed and disheartened. Especially since I was somewhat of a novice at the time. For many months it made its way to the back of my cupboard untouched, until I had a clean out. By then I had been gifted a beautiful tea pot which never seemed to fail, so I went ahead and tried Creme Brulee again, making sure to follow the instructions precisely this time. This definitely solved the problem and I was in love all over again!
This tea is the embodiment of a perfect winter/autumn night, yet I find myself still enjoying it into the summer months. A perfect balance of sweet with a hint of nuttiness and when brewed correctly really does taste like the dessert itself. Again, this tea suggests honey as the sweetener, but I substitute for half a tsp of sugar since I’m not a honey fan. I’ve tried without either and while perfectly drinkable, a touch of added sweetness really brings all those wonderful flavours forward.
Moral of the story: Always give your teas a second chance to dazzle you!
Flavors: Caramel, Hazelnut
Preparation
Some teas zing you, some teas zap you, but this one, this one is like a lullaby. A warm, rich lullaby with hints of chocolate and sticky date pudding. Instead of honey, try sweetening it with dark palm sugar, called gula melaka. You can get it in an easy-pour bottle and it adds depth without overpowering the tea, like honey sometimes can.
Preparation
I made up a jug of iced tea of this the other day when my friend came around for afternoon tea but it was too stinking hot to have anything hot. I threw in a bunch of actual delicious cherries, and then I drank the leftovers today (I think it was… it was four days ago she was over). WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Actual cherries steeping in this tea made a world of deliciousness.
Finally got this one down from the top shelf and opened it up, ready to roll! I couldn’t remember the flavour of this at ALL apart from knowing it was my favourite of the three cherry tea flavours that T2 released as limited editions early this year.
I went straight to the cold steep for my first hit of this, and boy does it taste like cherry lolly flavour!
I’m on the fence as to whether that’s a good or bad thing for now.
Way, way, WAY too much star anise. Completely overpowers the other spices. As an experiment I picked all the anise pieces out of one bag – the pile of anise was roughly the size of the remaining tea mix.
Not bad to drink if you’re a fan of anise, but not as a chai.

At first I was dubious about a strawberry tart flavoured green tea, and I wouldn’t of considered purchasing if the clerk had not convinced me otherwise. However I was so pleasantly surprised that I’d dare say Gorgeous Geisha is my new favourite blend from T2.
The fruit notes are delicate and in no way overpower the refreshing green tea. Furthermore, I found the beautiful scent from the leaves still lingers even when brewed, creating the most lovely tea time experience
All in all, a wonderful balance of healthy green tea with a touch of sweetness that would please most.

Another one from MissB this is apparently all the joy and fun i get today since once again i am stuck at home with work while my other half gets to go out with friends. I’m so upset i could just sit and cry. I spent all of today working so that i could go out this afternoon and tomorrow and now, thanks to work, i’m now here while our friends have picked up my other half and left. Even if i get away from this testing with technology, it’ll take me 90 mins just to join them so there’s hardly a point at this rate.
This tea is quite nice, though i’m not sure where the blueberry taste it. There’s a lovely lemon taste here, but if i hadn’t read memily’s review i wouldn’t have even known there was supposed to be blueberry here. This is just coming across as a REALLY earthy puerh with lemon flavouring in the background. I really wish the lemon were stronger here, and i can see this being really offputting for anyone who doesn’t like puerh. Thanksfully, though i enjoy puerh and i’m still enjoying this cup, though i wish it was more lemoney…and uh i guess blueberry too since i can’t taste any of that lol
Ditch work and teleport over here for cuddles, silly movies, and tea. If I had company I might even find motivation to make cookies or something.
Another from MissB i have to say this was was pretty pleasant. I think i like bayswater’s version just a little more, but not with a huge degree of conviction lol. This has got some great caramel/vanilla notes in it and even as it cooled it maintained that delicious taste. happy to have tried this one! thanks missb!
missB sent this one my way. Note to those that try this, it’s much better hot than when it cools lol i got distracted with work and ended up having to drink a bunch of it on the cooler side. hot, this is delicious chocolate tea…warm this is more of a thin liquidy sort of vaguely reminiscent of chocolate sort of tea. I vastly prefer it hot heh
I realise that giving this a rating of 100% is probably a bit dramatic, but I think this might just be the best tea I have ever consumed. Or at least my favourite, it certainly lives up to its reputation! I’m not going to lie here – what attracted me was the rad name, it’s the most metal name for a tea possible! The tea did match its name, delivering a gentle, sweet bite with a pleasantly rich warmth. Oh my god, it was SO good! I love the story behind the tea too. Guanyin certainly deserves all my thanks.
