I loved the scent of this one. Brewed? not so much. Something in there is cloying and a bit artificial. There are a few “candied” items. Nuts and such. So it could be any of those. And perhaps the fennel? I can’t be sure.
My mug was satisfying to a point, but missing a certain depth that I’ve come to expect in chai. Milk was necessary, but no sugar was added since it was already a bit too sweet on its own.
Tea festival this weekend was great. So much fun catching up with all the teaps! I was on a serious high until last night when I heard about the Quebec shooting. That just brought me back to reality. Then today I heard about a shooting right around the corner from my work. Literally. I mean, its the nearest intersection to the building. I cross there all the time. Lucky I was at home on my day off. So yeah. Sadness :(
I received a sample of this from a teapal and, to my surprise, it’s right up my alley. I usually avoid pineapple blends because the pineapple flavor tends to be really cloying and/or it doesn’t mix well with the other ingredients. That is not the case with this blend. I’m so glad it’s an herbal that’s predominantly fruit. The pineapple really shines, and the flavor reminds me of freshly juiced ripe pineapple. It’s sweet but slightly tart, and the pineapple blends really well with the mango and papaya. It’s like a tropical fruit juice blend in tea form. I’ve been eyeing T by Daniel for awhile, and this sample might just prompt an order. I can see myself enjoying a lot of this tea (mixed with other teas or alone) over the summer.
Someone on steepster talking about coconut made me want to pull this one out. :) I love that this one is both vanilla AND coconut. it makes it that much more delicious for me :)
Final Count: 112 (added a tea to my cupboard tonight)
Picked this one up at the toronto tea festival without trying it, based solely on the smell of the dry leaves – vanilla and coconut. So glad i took this chance. so good. I am a fan of this one, as long as i can finish it up before the coconut goes rancid. it’s smooth, creamy and there’s a good balance of vanilla and coonut – neither one truly overpowering the other. for a white tea, i’m happy with this one :)
oy…back from work travel and trying to get organised. So many things to do to get ready for monday. I am really enjoying this one, esp with a splash of honey. Just a nice balance of fruity goodness without the caffeine.
While i’ve been mia lately, i HAVE been drinking tea, just haven’t had a lot of time between work and other things going on these days. Pulled this one out today because i have about a week left to get through a few sipdowns and this one is at least closer to being done than a lot of my teas. I enjoy this one, though it’s nicer with a splash of honey. Not sure if i’d get this again, as i think on the whole i’d prefer fruit tisanes for my "herbals
picked this one up at the tea festival and figured it was worth having tonight. I made a huge valentine’s day dinner that was a whole lot more than i bargained for haha. Thankfully it was delicious and my other half loved it.
this tea is smooth…sort of creamy, lemony,a little orangey. I wouldn’t neccesarilly call it froot loops since those things are stupidly sugarey, but this is a nice brew.
Sadly, this one was sold out by the time I got around to their booth, but the sample was good. The owners made a very good impression on me. Perhaps one day, I will take the Go Train to their shop to check it out.
