I wish I had never bought this. I think it’s related to China Pai Mu Tan. Leaves and the tea looks and behaves the same and I hate both teas. I also think Aloe Vera disagrees with my taste buds. I like citrusy flavors so I don’t think the problem is in grapefruit flavoring or lemon peel. But under the added flavors is the same Pai Mu Tan which I dislike. I’m probably gonna toss this one.
Preparation
This was my first white tea and I was so disappointed. It was a bit expensive and I had high expectations. It has awfully lot of crushed big leaves in it and suprisingly few leaves and tips that look like white tea to me. I taste mostly those bitter crushed leaves in the tea.
This time I tried picking the best looking leaves and tips but it didn’t improve the taste much, but this time tea looked like white tea. I’m considering tossing this tea, because I very rarely drink it and don’t like it.
Tea becomes dark brownish (stays clear of course) when it gets cold.
Preparation
A cup at work earlier today. I must have accidently steeped too long. I’m too used to drinking tea at home and having a timer and no distraction. I’ll have to do better next time.
I brewed it at 85°C 1minute, drowning the tea infuser into the water.
As I slurp introducing air ah so noisily it revealed flowery nutty flavour with more precence and aftertaste than most of the top noch DJ’s I’v tasted thus far. This was the case for the batch of 2009-2010.
Btw, I prefer red tea classification over to the black.
I am sorry I messed up and added my review to the tea info box aswell. I’ll behave in the future.
