Another lovely flavored tea from McNulty’s. The plum flavor adds just the right amount of sweetness. I had it hot, but I think it also would be delicious iced.

drank Wild Cherry Decaf by McNulty's

This is a nice flavored black tea with a candy-like wild cherry flavor. As with many flavored teas, the scent is stronger than the taste, but a little sugar does bring out the flavor a bit more. The wild cherry flavor/scent reminds me of life savers or Luden’s wild cherry throat drops (and I love those!). Yum! I’m giving this room for improvement in my rating, but it is quite good.

This was sent to me by TeaEqualsBliss – thanks!

I am not as crazy about this as I thought I would be. There is just something a little off with it. Like a funky, artificial sweetness to it. It’s OK, but not my favorite I’ve tried from McNulty’s.

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tea!

A lovely, light-bodied tea. Nice flavor that possesses both fruity and floral notes. It has a very clean, crisp flavor. It’s nice.

A nice, straight, white tea. Light and vegetal, without the “sweetness” that comes with other white teas, like silver needle and white pekoe. Flavor gets more pleasant as the tea cools, but is satisfying throughout. I personally enjoy sipping this tea slowly while reading and working- it doesn’t demand much attention, which is a good or a bad thing, depending on how you look at it.

Thank you TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tea.

A nice, crisp mint flavor meets a bold black tea – and it’s a very well balanced match. Smooth, clean, and vibrant in flavor. It’s good!

I’m not really a huge fan of black teas, but all things said, this one is pretty good. When I first steeped it, the smell was rather smokey. There’s a bit of that smokiness in the taste, but otherwise it tastes like a typical black tea to me. I’ve actually rather enjoyed drinking this for my morning tea today.

drank Apple Mint by McNulty's

Thank you TeaEqualsBliss for allowing me to sample this tea! This is a good one!

The black tea is smooth and rich, but doesn’t overpower the flavors. The apple is strong enough to curb the mint so that it doesn’t overwhelm the cup. A nice balance of tastes.

I just submitted a full-length review for this tea – watch for it on the Tea Review Blog! http://www.teareviewblog.com

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me this tea!

It’s really yummy! I love plums and this has just the right amount of plum flavor to it – it isn’t overly flavored. It tastes like TEA that has been lightly flavored with the essence of real plums. YUM!

I’m not a green tea drinker, but I wanted to try something different this morning. This tea is quite nice. No astringency that I could detect. It is smooth with a subtle sweetness and vegetal flavor toward the end of the sip.

Kaitlin S

I forgot to add – this is a tea that actually brews up really green (as opposed to more golden-yellowish or very light brown, like many other greens I’ve had). Fun!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We aren’t celebrating thanksgiving today, because my hubby has to work because it’s one of the busiest travel days of the year (he’s the night manager for an airport shuttle service), so we have our thanksgiving on his next day off (which will probably be Sunday).

I am finishing up the sampling of this tea that TeaEqualsBliss has sent to me (thanks again!)

Rich, delicious, malty. Smooth and brisk! A lovely tea for first cuppa. I like it with a little drizzle of honey just to soften the edge a little. The honey brings out some of the sweeter undertones of this tea very nicely.

One of the nicest Indonesian teas I’ve tried thus far!

A really fantastic Oolong! It is complex with flavors of chestnut, smoke, peach and honey.

I’m on my fourth infusion of these leaves now – it is still really delicious!

Backlogging from last night. It does taste like baked apples, and the spices are there. I think I prefer Twining’s spiced apple chai – it is spicier and appley-er. Although I didn’t add sugar and I always add sugar to the spiced apple chai, so maybe that’s not totally fair. Either way, this is not bad.

Backlogging from last night. This is the perfect dessert tea. It has a strong and delicious almond flavor, and a subtle sweetness. It is great with just a little milk and no sugar – I bet sugar would make it even more delicious, though! The tea base holds its own nicely and is not bitter.

2nd steep – as good as the first. I really wish I could put a finger on what fruit/floral flavors are going on here! Definitely something a bit tropical that still tastes good as the tea cools. I think this would be great iced too. Whatever the flavors are, they are delicious.

This might just turn me around on green teas! The trouble is, I have no idea what the flavors are. It tastes both flowery and fruity. I would say mango or passionfruit, but not in a artificial or overly sweet way.

2nd steep – Ok, it is growing on me. The 2nd steep is a lot less in-your-face earthy, and more balanced tea vs. dirt flavors. Less of the feeling of, “Should I really be drinking something that tastes so odd?” Hehe.

I steeped for 1 minute, which seemed to be about right for the amount of leaf and my big mug. :)

My first pu-ehr experience. I can see now why people describe it as “peaty” or “earthy.” I’m not sure what’s up with the other review – I’m not getting “dull muddiness” at all. It isn’t smoky, though. This tea is more like the smell of dirt after a rainstorm. I’m not sure this will become a favorite, but I probably will come back to it again and I’m glad I tried it!

I read a little to find steeping instructions, but ended up with very conflicting information (15-30 seconds at 95 degrees C vs 2-5 minutes at boiling). So, I just went the easy way – 2 minutes with boiling water. I’d say that worked out pretty well, but I am open to suggestions.

Preparation
Boiling 2 min, 0 sec
Cofftea

Haha and I do a combo of the 2 methods:) This is what I do:
1g leaf/1oz of water
Boil water and pour it over the leaves and steep for 20 seconds.
Throw out this infusion
Reboil more water and do another 20 sec steep.
This is your 1st drinkable steep.
Continue steeping at 20 sec til you find the flavor too weak for your preferences
Increase steeping by 10 sec and continue steeping til it becomes too weak, then increase to 40 sec… repeat this pattern.

Kaitlin S

Interesting. So, why throw out the first infusion?

Enjoyed a few hot mugs of this today. Needed something with caffiene and love the smooth feel of this tea. Nice with just a pinch of sugar to really bring out the apple.
