The moment I saw this on Steepster Select I had to grab it. White tea? Peaches? Instant win.

The leaves smell really sweet. Like, sickeningly sweet. There’s no mistaking this peachy goodness for anything else. Luckily, that sweetness settles down a bit when it’s transformed into actual tea. The peach isn’t overwhelming; there’s just enough flavor that it doesn’t mask the actual taste of tea. This is good stuff. I think it would be pretty fantastic iced as well.

Once again, another beautiful tea from LeafSpa. I don’t know why but somehow they manage to produce good looking teas (if that matters to you).

Tin was packed crazy like others have mentioned before. Pre steeping, it doesn’t have a strong scent: Mild earthy tones and even milder pepper scent. Once properly steeped, the dark bronze liquor gives out a much more distinct scent.

This tea is like liquid pretzel ! Now that might not sound very appealing but it is actually very good. Those looking for a strong smoked black tea should look elsewhere. This is a smooth experience !

“Good looking teas” are pretty important to me- especially when it comes to the leaf itself. If a leaf is broken and crushed it’s not good quality.

I’m really liking this Jasmine. The flavor of the jasmine is soft, but very nicely balanced with the green tea. Sweet and floral.

I must admit that when I first opened the tin of this tea, I was a little disappointed. I am extremely fond of jasmine, and I could barely detect the jasmine aroma of the dry leaf.

Upon brewing, that changed. The fragrance of the liquor is soft but beautiful!

The flavor is so pleasant. The jasmine is not overdone in this blend – it doesn’t hit me over the head to let me know it’s there. Instead, it just gently eases its way onto the palate. Lovely.

As I’ve said, I’m extremely fond of jasmine. Most of the jasmine teas I’ve tried up until now have been the type that are very strong and assertive – this one is gentle. You might wonder which I prefer – the answer is both! This one is good for the times when you want to relax and enjoy a softer, sweeter jasmine. The stronger jasmines are good for when you want some floral intensity.

well, it’s the morning and before I start social networking i prefer to have tea in me!

Last night I brewed Jasmine Pearls in my everyday teapot. and this morning, this tea still smells of jasmine. That is pretty remarkable. This tea is great. The taste is quite complex and reminds me a tiny bit of green tea. The tea steeps up a slightly herbaceous, yet woody/fresh taste. There is a sweetness, but it is more on the back end of my palette. After I swallow, the tea’s finish is this wonderful lingering sweetness that makes me want another sip!

I just got back from errands, and I could use some cooling off with iced tea, but I can feel a caffeine deprivation headache coming on so I decided to have a cup of hot tea first. I really like this Darjeeling a lot! It has a very nice complexity to it. In one sip, I can taste notes of fruit, nut, and honey. Yum.

This is a really good first flush Darjeeling. A very nice nutty tone to it, with pleasant honey-like notes, and a brisk astringency that feels clean and refreshing.

Very interesting tea.

I had tried only very few roasted Oolongs so far, have a preference for the greener kind. LeafSpa’s description is actually very accurate.

While at first I wasn’t convinced at all by that sense of powerful smokiness, I eventually understood how this tea had to be drank to be properly savored: slowly.

The taste actually evolves as you sip on this one. The obvious roastiness which I’m not too fond off is what initially hits you but it’s soon enough replaced by a lingering thick sweetness that is highly addictive. This is a tea that I had to get used to but have my first 3 cups I finally got it and now find it really enjoyable.

Yesss ! Here’s a flavored Rooibos that lives up to its name!

It smells like a natural After Eight both in its tin and infused. With a light brown color and the obvious aroma of chocolate floating around the house you are in for a treat.

The mint and chocolate flavors are light enough yet very much present and blend in perfectly well with the rooibos taste that can be faintly perceived in the background.

While I still much prefer Oolong or other green teas over flavored Rooibos in general, this is a winner.

Up until I try a different blend from somewhere else, this will remain my favorite Roobios.

Good job guys !

Up until I tried some Silver Needles from a random teashop, I thought I’d never have any interest in White Teas. They are expensive and, from what I had thought, way too light for my liking (Oolong is usually my cup of tea),

Turns out I was totally wrong and with that now known, I decided to order this one from leafspa.

As with my previous white experiences, the taste was delicate but augmented by the honey flavor. Vanilla was more present in the aroma but could hardly be tasted (not a bad thing). Very soothing and comforting tea that somehow has a Winter feel to it.

Overall the Honey flavor is interesting and certainly gives a unique taste to this tea. Not an every day tea by all means but one to keep in your rotation.

Go figure. I don’t like honey or sweetened teas, but this is amazing!:)

Kind of late in the evening for me to be enjoying a black tea… but I was really wanting an Earl Grey, and since I had this tin out anyway (sent some to a friend), I went with it.

I’m tasting a lot of orange flavor today… more than I remember… and less of the somewhat flowery/perfume-ish taste that is accompanied with Earl Grey. It tastes nice.

I started the day with breakfast (hubby made breakfast this morning!) and my cup of Earl Grey… I grabbed this one from the cupboard today.

Nice… please read my previous notes for my thoughts on this tea.

Good Morning Mr. Grey!

(yes its still morning here)

Today I must not have been paying too much attention to when I was measuring out the tea, because it’s quite strong. (Too sleepy when I prepped the teapot I suppose!)

Other than a somewhat stronger presence its still a nice way to wake up!

Experimenting a bit with this Earl Grey today. I tried “awakening” the leaves with a quick 10 second boiling water rinse before infusing to see how that would affect the first infusion.

The first infusion is now a bit smoother than the previous first infusions of this tea, which is definitely a plus for me. Interestingly, the tea has a slightly smoky flavor to it this morning – something i didn’t pick up on previously. It is not a strong smoky essence, but definitely there… almost like I brewed it in coffee (which I would not do, especially since the only coffee we have in the house is my husband’s instant coffee). It’s an unusual taste, but I don’t dislike it…

The bergamot also tastes a bit lighter.

I love starting my day with an Earl Grey tea!

This is a very robust black tea base. The bergamot is not overpowering… like the description suggests, there is a pleasant orange finish to it. I like!

You drink a lil bit of everything each day!:)

LiberTEAS

I try. :)

All I drink is tea (other than water). Occasionally, I will drink something else if I happen to be out to eat and I’m not particularly fond of the tea offerings. But, tea is my primary source of liquid refreshment. :)

Cofftea

Yep me too. A cup of coffee on some days and it’s tea the rest of the day.- but even that can count since I often steep my Mayan Chocolate Chai in it like I did today:) An occasional glass of white wine (I only buy it when it’s on sale).

This is an excellent Earl Grey, and perhaps made even better because it is organic and fair trade.

I’m on my second steeping at the moment, and I found that the first infusion was quite brisk, while the second infusion is much more mellow and smooth. Both are very good, but, I think I prefer the smoothness of the second to the stronger character of the first.

The bergamot is pleasantly strong with a nice citrus flavor that really shines in the aftertaste. It does have a floral note (like most bergamot flavored teas do), but I don’t find it perfume-ish like some Earl Grey teas can be.

This is nicely scented and the taste is a sweeter jasmine instead of a bittery-floral type jasmine. I like it! A good Green and a good Jasmine to have on hand.

The July TeaLog Catchup !

In the beginning, I thought darjeelings were perfectly fine and good tasting to drink, but didn’t see what all the fuss was about. I was pretty neutral on them when it came to black tea loves.

Hankering for a lighter black tea late one afternoon, I pulled the one out again. With the lower water temperature and more leaf than previously used, I found this one winey and delicious. I believe I also drank this one again a day or two later, but it didn’t get jotted down onto my list.

2 steeps.

This Darjeeling Goomtee is definitely good at a lower water temperature than boiling. It does seem like I always like teas more the more I get on with them.

Here comes the second set of backlogs.

So I woke up wanting darjeeling that morning. I used a lower water temperature than I ever have with this tea. I liked it and think I’ll continue to do so.

Backlogging. Wednesday morning.

I wanted something more delicate and more complex. I also tried steeping using a lower water temperature, which I think I like. Although, I can’t put my finger on why.
