In honor of the first day of fall, I decided to order the first of the autumnal teas!
I say the first, as I’ve decided, for both my budget and my sanity, to spread out my tea buying over the next couple of months. In years past I frantically ran around, putting every tea that seemed interesting into my basket all at once, which then stressed me out, when my cupboard numbers swelled to such outrageous proportions.
This year I have ordered my fall classics from Harney (Boston and Capri), and then a set of samples of things I’ve not tried yet, from the Angry Tea Room.
As I continue to sip down, I can order more, as I work on curating my perfect balance.
I want a solid core of beloved teas, and rotating new things to try. This first batch of autumnal ordering is trying to cultivate this.
And it only motivates me to keep on sipping! I want more room in the cupboard, to bring in more teas!
To that end, I am having a cup of this. There isn’t a ton of it, and its not at all bad. I am also not moved to song with it, so it will not become one of the core teas, but I should not have a problem sipping it down, as long as I keep an eye on my goals.
I am filled with renewed vigor to actually try all the teas in my cupboard!
This has been sitting, in its charming little tin, untouched for a year. Well, along it goes to work with me!
Its a green tea with a burst of passion fruit, but more berry flavor than passion fruit. And a little more green base than either of those.
Hmm. Initial impression is that it won’t be a favorite, but it will be a nice sip in the afternoon.
