Why not finish up another one in my stash while I’m at it, eh!? This is so fine and so gritty and steeps very fast. Kind of tastes like coffee. Not sure how I feel about that. :X
WHAT?! A tea that’s supposed to taste like a mojito, but tastes like coffee? I love coffee, but come on- gimme a tea replicate of a mojito!:)
www.favatea.com has one.
I received this one from a tea swap. I’m told it was an “unmarked” or “not named/branded” tea from a place called Homemade Gourmet. It’s very fine leaf so much so that you would really need a heavy duty steeping device to NOT get the loose bits in your cup. Lucky for me…I have one like that. This brews VERY fast and very dark. Prior to the steep there isn’t much scent. After steeping it smells like a ‘black tea’. Neither Mojito nor Mint. It tastes like a black tea…neither Mojito nor Mint. It’s not a BAD tea…just not a flavored black tea that you can smell or taste the flavoring. OH WAIT…there’s a little mint – but it’s only part of the aftertaste.
That sounds like mistreating of innocent raspberries! Ought to be illegal.
It can’t possibly have ANY Raspberry in it…OR green tea leaves for that matter! It seriously looks like it has only twigs in it. OMG!
Suddenly I find myself appreciating the fact that tea companies don’t send out April Fools teas… Like, I don’t know, some sort of suppedly fruity herbal thing and then it turned out to freeze-dried onions or something. :p
Onions would have been a step up from this…lol…
Hey, onion-flavoured tea. Maybe we should push the idea to Adagio. I’m sure there would be someone who’d buy it. And what about leeks? Or cheese? Or beets? And there’s a whole entire spice-rack. Parsley? Sage? (Rosemary and Thyme, tralalalalaaa. Hadn’t actually noticed I was quoting that. :p) Oooh! Garlic! Or tomatoes. I’ll stop now, I’m disgusting myself.
GARLIC!!!!!! I’m in!
“Hello, Homemade Gourmet? This is the Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Tea calling….”
;)
Garlic tea sounds amazing! And potential very flawed…
potentially*
My father used to make (and drink) garlic liquor, so he would probably enjoy it.
lol, I thought I was the only one who had reactions like that to some teas!
