This isn’t overly scented or flavored but it makes for a uniquely flavored green tea in a bag. The green tea and the zest of lime meet in the middle. The taste is true to the zest of lime and not really a puckery lime juice if that is what you are looking for this is a bit different than that. I really like this because it is different. It’s not overdone in any way, shape, or form, and if you like lime zest you’ll probably like this! I’m sending out with a few swaps today! Not too shabby! Me likie!
Smells like a pal lemon/Chamomile combo. The liquid is what you would expect of a bagged herbal. Post infusion I could smell the chamomile more than before. The taste is a lovely meet in the middle of herbs and lemon flavors! It’s actually quite delightful! I’m pleasantly surprised! I’m enjoying this one A LOT more than I thought I would.
1 C hot and 1 C cold and they are both yummy.
I’m sharing a bag with Meghann and Nichole. I’m finishing their boxes up today and will be mailing them out today, too!
This isn’t much for smell but the color is nice…a reddish-orange-brown. I don’t think it has that stereotypical Darjeeling taste to it but it has a nice silkiness on the tongue! It’s mellow with a slightly sweet end sip. This is a more relaxed black bagged tea it’s tasty but not what I would call a WAKE-ME-UP Cup!
There is little to no aroma on this one. The longer I ‘steeped’ the more saffron I could taste but it also got a little bitter. With the correct steeping times on this…it tastes like a medium strength black tea in a bag. The Saffron is more in the after taste. It’s not bad.
If over steepsted I think the aftertaste had a little coffee-like taste to it. Not bad if you like that coffee taste, I suppose.
My rating may change in the future but for now I will go with mid to upper 70s
Aroma as I opened the tin…reminds me of a cross between English Breakfast and Darjeeling. Interesting.
Post Infusion Aroma – English Breakfast but a bit more chewier than I expected.
Color: Dark, Rich Red-Black
Taste: Robust!!! This is a really strong and flavorful English Breakfast…among the best I have tried, actually! This is really FAB!
Aftertaste: A nice, solid black tea with woodsy notes!
I liked this so much yesterday that I decided that I needed another cup today.
This is a delicious Earl Grey, and I think that what is intriguing me most about this tea is that it is a little different from other Earl Grey teas. VERY smooth. A rich, almost creamy taste to it – malty… yes, there is malt. That malty note melds with the bergamot and creates almost a creamy taste to the cup without it becoming an “Earl Grey Creme” type tea. Juicy and spirited without being sharp or perfume-y.
