For this last can I decided to mix it with some lemonade. It was still soooo unpleasantly sweet, but at least it was sweetness partially offset by acidity/sourness. Definitely a step up from just drinking the can on its own – and it’s hard to be too mad at a Strawberry Lemonade drink. Not any tea vibes here, though.
The last time I ordered groceries for delivery I noticed several new tea related RTDs on the app I use – I had added one of each new flavour into my cart but I guess my shopper couldn’t find them because instead of three different RTDs he gave me three of this specific flavour of Brisk…
That’s unfortunate because, as it turns out, I don’t like this flavour. I think it’s by far the most sweet and candy-like Brisk tea I’ve ever had and, like, I have a pretty high tolerance for sweet drinks but this was like drinking strawberry cocktail syrup to me. Very, very cloying and not at all tea-like in any account. I’m sure there’s a customer for it, but it’s not me.
…and now I have two more cans to drink through.
I feel like Brisk has had a lot of new flavours lately but maybe that’s just me? Or maybe the passage of time is sneaking by faster than I’d care to admit…
Honestly, I really like this one. Like pretty much all Brisk drinks it’s fairly sweet and a little more like a juice than a tea – but I do think this was more restrained than other Brisk flavours I’ve had as of late (looking at you, Strawberry). It also has that deeper and almost more red fruit-like note that I feel like I associate specifically with Blood Orange so bonus points for accuracy to namesake in my opinion.
Would consider buying this again, though there are 100% many more RTD options out there that are more tea forward.
While in Vegas I was seeing blackberry flavoured RTDs and liquors everywhere. Definitely seemed to be a pretty tending profile. Of course, when I flew back home I got off the plane and was walking through the airport just dying of thirst. Even though the airport convenience stores are so over priced I couldn’t wait to get home to drink something. The shop in the airport I ended up going to had a whole endcap display dedicated to this Brisk flavour and it just felt like a sign after seeing SO MANY blackberry products…
I’ve had this one before though, and honestly it’s good. One of my favourite Brisk options. Yes, it’s sweet but they really nail that jammy fresh blackberry flavour!
B is for… Blackberry Brisk!
Yes, this is barely a tea – but I just feel this need/compulsion to try every new tea related RTD beverage out there. They’re usually not that bad for the type of product they are, and I like to know what’s out on the market. Call it curiosity.
I don’t think this really tastes distinctly like blackberry at all, but that said it’s tasty! Very sweet generic berry with that kind of candy like “wild berry” flavouring that just tastes purple!? Having a whole can was a bit much in terms of sweetness level for me, but it was refreshing after a long work day and the right size to be enjoyed over a few episodes of anime.
I’ve been putting off writing this tasting note for weeks now, not because of the tea itself but because I have a really cute photo of the can (love the art style/design) that I wanted to share on instagram first – but it never feels like the right time to post a can of Brisk iced tea on my instagram feed, so I’m just gonna get this one out of the way instead of putting it off…
It’s very sweet, but ultimately not bad – maybe my favourite of the Brisk iced tea flavours actually!? It’s hard to describe it as anything other than sweet white peach though. That’s just how these canned RTD iced teas typically are though. Not sure if this is something I would buy again; I guess maybe for a quick refreshing iced tea fix if I didn’t have other options?
