This is really tasty. The apple and pear come through nicely, but the green tea is the strongest note. It is a little grassy, sweet and very pleasant. I took a few sips while it was hot, then I decided this would be best iced, so I let it chill. And this tea is SO good, so refreshing iced!
Yum!
The yerba mate has a rich, roasted flavor but it doesn’t come across as a strong, earthy essence the way yerba mate sometimes does. Maybe the flavors help temper that a bit. I’d – of course – like it better with a bit more chocolate, but it is quite tasty as it is. I like the vanilla in there, it gives it a nice creamy taste.
Really nice.
Smells like leafy greens (near Spinach) and Chinese Food (maybe Rice Dishes) post infusion. This tastes REALLY NICE! Very “filling” sweet and slightly vegetal and earthy…but green-earthy not woodsy or muddy type earthy. LOL
YUM! Fairly Thirst-Quenching, too! This is darned dandy!
Amy: I have Bangkok Blend (Harney & Son’s). Bancha, coconut, lemongrass, and ginger. Although I wasn’t picking up the ginger. Do you want some? :))
Thanks for the offer but I believe I am getting sick of coconut tea and just looking for a plain bancha. :)
OK…….but the coconut is secondary to the tea, and it is OK if you don’t want it. I wish I could find my Tokyo Blend…….bancha, toasted sesame seeds and caramel flavors! Did I drink it all?? No….I would remember…
Cool? I find this rather spicy – perhaps by COOL they mean a COOL CAT because this is one groovy chai!
It smells like a breakfast danish of sorts with your stereotypical chai spices, coconut, something resembling citrus, Rooibos, and Pepper!
That Pepper stands out a bit more than the rest of the spices but then the ginger is a close 2nd. The flavor is one of those that wants to be center of attention. I can still taste those spices, the coconut is nice, and something that resembles that citrus flavor on the tongue is still present! It’s sweet, it’s spicy, it’s creamy in parts of the sip, it’s citrusy, it’s darned tasty! The more I sip the more I think this chai was made for me!
This is really wonderful!
Just when I think I know what a Yunnan Black is to taste like I get thrown a curve ball but when the ball meets the bat – this one it hit out of the park!
It’s not brash or astringent…it’s malty, sweet, and almost fruity AND floral with a little bit of spice. It’s not overly Bold but very beautiful!
This is my cuppa chai! Cool Coconut Chai is a spicealicious red rooibos based chai with a creamy coconut twist. I couldn’t resist adding a bit of agave and coconut cream to this tea and it made the flavors sing. So very, very, very yum.
I’ve been away from Steepster more than I like for the past week and I’m missing my tea-friends. Why must life get in the way of my fun???
