I’m happy to have a plainish rooibos back on my shelf again. I’ve been making large pitchers of this for the fridge. It’s not super special, but it has that sweet rooibos flavor that I love. I can taste a little hint of almond and maybe some vanilla too, but mostly the rooibos shines.

I was not really impressed with this one at all.

The body was light, but the taste was of basil. I didn’t pick up much blueberry. There’s a little bit on the nose but no taste of berry after that. To be fair, I had some blueberry oatmeal before drinking this but even contrasting the super sweet flavors of the oatmeal I couldn’t taste blueberry in my tea.

What green tea flavor there is, becomes muted by this strong herbal leafy taste. There’s a decent amount of astringency but I wouldn’t necessarily call it a good thing either.

Will be leaving this freebie aside in favor of a better cup.

Steeped for 4-5min and brewed in an enamel mug.

The first note that comes strongly through is wood, a less-discerning drinker might consider this more cardboard than wood. I pick up bamboo or sweet balsa wood more than straight cardboard, as if you were chewing on a bamboo skewer or toothpick for too long. It’s really not a bad thing.
Just think about eating one of those little balsa wood glider planes from when you were a kid. Maybe you did want to eat them, after all.

It’s just one-dimensional, probably partially a result of being decaffeinated. If you like drinking hot bamboo skewers with no caffeine pick me up, this is the right blend for you.

Definitely a peachy tea but the black base is pretty weak. This was an interesting (free) experimental tea bag but I’m not thrilled by it.

My absolute favorite hot tea. I’d have bought a lifetime supply had I known it was to be discontinued.
BTW.,.I drink ONLY black tea. Green and white taste horrible and bitter regardless of triple the sugar.

1st Steep of the Day Saturday Feb 11 2017, Good Black Tea with a Strong Aroma of Blueberries, Good Berry flavor, Pleasing Cuppa from Bentley’s

I have had a box of this tea in the cabinet for some time now. I tried it once before and don’t remember liking it but thought I would try it again as I am working through some older teas. Ok, so, the smell of the bag is straight up intense rooibos smell. I dont get any peach passion smell at all. Once steeped the peach comes out and gives a really nice subtle flavor but the roobios turns earthy tasting, not sweet like it normally does. I had this tea unsweetened (I normally find rooibos does not always need to be sweetened). I don’t find that there is anything amazing about this tea and it would not be one that I would just have to have. I am going to try to finish up the remaining tea in the box but would not repurchase again. It just is an average tea at best.

This was a middle of the road tea for me. I enjoyed the orange flavor, but I didn’t find much in the way of spice. The drawing on the paper packaging the tea bag comes in shows cinnamon sticks and cardamon pods, but the tea itself is straight orange. The base tea is clean with a possible hint of lemon. Good but not great.

I’ve never had an Earl Grey green before. I am definitely getting both the bergamot and the green tea out of this. It’s a very strong bergamot flavor, and it blends well with the green tea. I could also see this bergamot going a little soapy.

I tried this tea a second time, steeping two bags instead of just one. The result was much better; the raspberry flavor really shown through and was complimented nicely by a bit of sugar. If you’re going to try this tea, definitely steep two bags.

Using a single tea bag, this tea is…okay. Nothing remarkable.

Unfortunately, this was another Bentley’s tea that I didn’t care for. There was nothing special about it.

I tried this tea this morning (with just a bit of sugar) and the orange taste was overpowering. Granted, I steeped the bag for 5 minutes (as is my norm), but still, the orange flavor made it taste almost like warm, watered-down orange juice. Maybe steeping it for 3 minutes would improve things?

Unfortunately, this tea doesn’t have much “oomph.” There’s not much flavor or anything to make it stand out against other English Breakfast offerings.

A coworker gave me this today.

I cold-steeped it and MAN is it sweet and refreshing! Like mint ice cream.

Love it!

Much better when iced..a tropical getaway in a way..

When I first tasted this tea, it left a rather unpleasant chemical-like taste in my mouth. I thought, maybe that was just a bad bag. So I tried another one… and I got the same result.

Thankfully, this is actually the third blend of jasmine tea that I’ve tried. The first time I tried it was at Teavana, and the second one I got from an Asian market. I can’t remember the brand name off the top of my head, though.

Regardless, both of those blends were enjoyable… and this one was not. So if this was your first time trying jasmine green tea, ditch this brand and try another one.
