Finishing off this sample…seems much spicier than the last time I had it…perhaps some of the spices had settled to the bottom of the bag? It’s not my favorite chai (that would currently be Alberta Street Chai), but it holds its own.
Preparation
Okay, continuing my chai spree. I’ve had this one in my cabinet for a while. Another sample from Judith of Angel Teas that has been lingering because of that scary word “chai”.
Not too spicy, and is almost berry-like, in fact. It’s definitely “rockin” the ginger. Not too shabby, but I’m liking Masterpiece and California chais much better.
Preparation
I’m finally finishing off my sample of this! Seems like there was tons of it! I’m having a rather large pot of this tonight. Hopefully I’ll sleep well; it’s going to be a long day tomorrow and a crazy, crazy weekend: My cousin is getting married, I’m in the wedding party, and I only hope that I survive until Sunday morning.
Preparation
Having another pot of chamomile before I’m off to bed…hopefully it will bring sleep swiftly!
This is a different sort of chamomile than I’ve had before. It smells more fruity than flowery, and that translates to the taste as well. Rosehip is the first taste I note, followed by citrus and chamomile. The only thing I’m not enjoying is the taste and tingling of the peppermint. It’s much too…invigorating to have the peppermint with the chamomile. Almost makes my tongue go numb it’s tingling so. Closer to the perfect chamomile, but still not quite there yet.
This is another sample from Judith of Angel Teas.
Preparation
This is another sample from Angel Teas, Lucy’s daughter’s shop. According to the website, there’s no tea in this one, but it does contain caffeine. Still pondering exactly how that works…
There’s a distinct taste of rosehips, and a malty flavor. I brewed for 5 minutes, perhaps a shorter or longer brew would bring out more of the hibiscus or lemon myrtle notes?
Preparation
She’s got some tasty-sounding teas I’ve not got yet…like the pomegranate mojito!
