I had never heard of this before, but apparently it’s some sort of tropical fruit that we others can’t get because the fruit doesn’t transport very well.
The dry leaves smell weird. Sort of fruity and bitter at the same time. Like a very old orange. At this point I’m sceptic. Very sceptic.
Colour is nice and golden and the scent is something familiar that I can’t quite place. It’s not mouldy oranges anymore anyway.
The taste is…. strange. Fruity. Adagio suggests something akin to candied strawberry and pineapple. I can’t really ‘find’ those notes but at the same time I don’t really disagree either. I can’t tell when I don’t know how the fruit is supposed to taste.
I like it. I don’t think I’ll stock up on it once I’ve got through the sample, but I like it.
As promised, I ordered another sample tin of this to have around. Very tasty stuff – interesting to see how it compares to Orchid Oolong, which I’ve been drinking a lot more of since I last drank this. You can definitely notice the difference that the orchid makes in OO.
Polished off my sample. I’ve finished 3 Adagio samples inside of a week. I’m so proud of myself. Too bad I only have like 50 more.
I think I’ll reorder another sample size of this (once I’ve drunk down my stash a bit more). It’s really good, but I don’t drink it regularly.
This was the last of my stash – only bought a sample tin when I ordered – and the last tea of my day. This has a lovely scent and relaxing and light taste. My dogs are even intrigued by the scent but we NOT allowed a taste…silly dogs…TEA is for MOMMY!
