8 Tasting Notes
It smells like Lipton Yellow Label, which made me very sceptical at first. Once in water for about three minutes however, it’s nothing like that horrible would be-tea. The taste is hard to define but it’s not bad at all. I’ll return to this one to explore it further.
Preparation
A pretty exciting concept. The taste is balanced with lots of cinnamon and a secondary chai tone. I’ve never been a fan of either which makes for a mediocre rating, but people who like this stuff probably won’t be dissapointed.
Preparation
Gen Mai Cha is without a doubt one of the best teas I’ve been able to pick up on my home turf. It’s got a very natural flavour – no additives – and the roasted rice blend perfectly with the green tea. Very enjoyable.
I’m not sure which brand I’m drinking since it comes from a rebranded package, but to be honest I’ve not sensed much of a difference between different Gen Mai Chas.
Best enjoyed with a purring cat in your lap. A perfect complement.
