433 Tasting Notes
Tried this for the 2nd time yesterday and didn’t enjoy it much. I had some problems… I used a pretty large scoop for a fairly small cup and steeped it for a bit too long. I just wasn’t feeling it and only made it through half of a cup. I was really in the mood for a good cup of earl grey and this unfortunately wasn’t it. Next time I’ll watch the amount and the steep time more closely.
Had this yesterday when I felt like going to Starbucks but didn’t want any extra calories. Every time I try this I am surprised that so many people hate Tazo tea (and particularly the black blend), because I think this might be my 2nd favourite readily available iced tea. They always seem to steep it to exactly the right strength and I really enjoy the taste (plus it’s very inexpensive)!
Had this over the weekend (without the syrup, as usual) because I didn’t want the calories of my usual drink. Sometimes this tastes fantastic, and sometimes I’m just not as impressed and this was a “not impressed” time. It was on the verge of being bitter (they must have steeped it a bit before they gave it to me, because I took the bag out after the same amount of time I always do), and it just didn’t hit the spot, so to speak.
I had a stress-induced heavy duty stomach ache this morning, so I had to go for something gentle & minty, and this was exactly what I needed. It sure didn’t wake me up, but it made me feel well enough to be able to eat lunch! Tastes and smells pretty amazing as well—much love to Candy Cane Lane!
Preparation
I grew tired of all my vanilla tea blends and started avoiding them for a while, so now that I’m drinking them again I’m reminded of how good they can be! This one in particular is a blend I often pass over (not sure why), but it’s consistently good. I’ve never managed to oversteep it and make it bitter, and the caramel note balances out the vanilla so it’s not TOO vanilla. It was the perfect choice for today’s morning tea!
Preparation
Backlogging from yesterday…
Grabbed this for my morning tea and forgot that it wasn’t as bold as I like (for a morning pick-me-up). It’s a really pleasant blend-light and smooth-but not quite strong enough to really wake me up. I have to remember to pay attention to its name next time!
