47 Tasting Notes
I have a lot of this tea, so I decided to make cold brew a large pitcher of it. ugh….I am such a freaking noob. This cold brew is not good…I should of known because what I said on my last post, if not done right it would either have a weird spinachy flavor or no flavor at all. I took out my brand new Takeyda Pitcher filled it with about 4 scoops of the tea. ( I used David’s tea perfect spoon.) Put in about 36 oz of filtered water, popped in the fridge.
4 hours – no flavor
7 hours – no flavor
I forgot I had it in the fridge 12 hours-bitter.
I wasted 4 scoops on cold brewing this to turn out bitter. Sad Story.
Preparation
Not gonna lie, I was obsessed with this tea for awhile during Fall 2013 it got me though all my studies for Biology! Tastes like Pistachio Ice Cream! Though for some reason, and maybe its just me, but even though its an herbal, I still have to be really delicate with this tea. Meaning, don’t use too hot water, don’t over steep, but steep enough or it will not have a flavor! I also suggest to use a bit of german rock sugar or sweetener.
Preparation
I had this tea again a 27 oz teapot with my family for dinner. Its a winner when my mom likes the tea because she tends to like tea with astringency. This tea is very refreshing, and comforting. The tea is refreshing even though its hot tea! I am happy with this tea and glad I purchased a subscription with 52teas.
Hello!!!!! Happy Chinese Vietnamese New Year! I’m currently in Los Angeles. All I can say is wow! Steepster got a brand new look! It looks great!! Im actually relaxing on vacation. Seahawks won the Super Bowl! I mean I know Peyton deserves a ring but still I was rooting for Seahawks, though the Saints will forever be my team! lol. My family and I were mostly in Little Saigon and I was drinking more Chrysanthemum tea more than ever. I found this tin in my bag and I was in a happy joy mood! I ordered a hot water from service and over steeped it..though its not bitter haha.
Preparation
I cold brewed this last night, knowing that I would drink this to down my medicine. For my age, I still can’t swallow big, pills. Lol. I’m happy I cold brewed this, its not bitter, and still tastes like blueberries! Though I would add sweetener, (it’s the southern in me) but since I’m sick, it doesn’t matter at the moment. It’s 5:43 just an hour and 15 minutes. Hmm maybe I should organize my iTunes library…

Today is going to be a long day..I can officially say that I’m sick. I’ve had people in my office walk by me and say “I can feel the heat from you.” I’m leaving tomorrow to LA for the weekend, to celebrate Chinese Vietnamese New Year, so I have to stay till 7pm to get all my work done. All day I’ve been drinking Vitamin C packets, eating oranges, and sneezing my heart out. Wahhh..(remind me when I feel better to clean my office) Bad timing man, maybe it’s a foreshadow of how my year will be for the year of the horse. (If you believe in so.) goodness, I still haven’t packed.
I made this tea in my timolino, maybe it’s because I’m sick but I can’t taste anything. Lol. Just the base and the cooling mint after. It will do though. Usually I make my teas in a steeper and then place it on top of my timolino. But I suppose my brother did the dishes and when he dumped the leaves he also dumped the filter. So I just put the infuser basket to catch the leaves but then leaves would get stuck in the steeper. When I come back, I am for sure purchasing stuff from Davids tea.
Davids tea also launched a new double wall glass traveling mug. I will honestly say that I would buy it just because I like to show off my teas and that glass is just classy looking to me. Lol. It’s different from the bamboo lid that they used to have, it now has a plastic lid? Also a longer infuser basket.Aww, feel better soon. ♥ Seems like everybody’s sick now! I hope I don’t catch it next :(

I know!!!!! Lol idk if it’s leaked proof, but it’s a12 oz so I assume it’s the same size basket for the 12 oz timolino. I also saw the libre tumbler too, and good reviews on it. www.libretea.com

Hmmm, I hope the basket is deeper for this one, because I honestly didn’t find the basket for the (12 oz) timolino to be very deep at all. rest assured I will go to david’s tea at once, investigate, and report back!

I feel somewhat special, I’m the second one to post something for this tea! Im super excited that I finally got some new teas to try. I felt deprived on all the teas that I have. I opened this package and oh my it smells freaking amazing, Hello Child Hood! The package filled my nose that resembles fresh cut Cantaloupe! The white tea is definitely good quality as well. The taste of the cantaloupe and white tea is beautiful, it is almost as it gives the texture of a cantaloupe!
I used one scoop (I use David’s tea Perfect Spoon) in a 14 oz mug and I also used a bit of German rock sugar, then steeped about 3 minutes to maybe 4 minutes.
Hi! Oh my goodness I haven’t been on steepster in awhile! I’m at my office and I whipped some of this matcha, this might be weird but I actually mixed everything up in a protein bottle and shaker! Not too bad and this matcha definitely gave me the energy I need. I noticed the past couple nights, I’ve been having problems of sleeping, like I’m not comfortable in my bed.
Anyways, I received my 52teas order so I should be logging soon. I also have a lot of teas logs to post. Also, anyone tried davids mint to be yet? Cherry blossom is also coming back for spring too. Oh and there is a glass Nordic mug too!! Ugh, too many things to buy too little money to spend lol.
This is what you get when your phone is dead, and your not able to check reviews for tea. Lol. I picked up this tea because it was clearance at target and I’ve never had Harney and Son’s tea before. Mm, powdered cinnamon all I taste. Eck..I can’t taste tea either…
I’m still drinking it though since I’m lazy to dump it.
