5 Tasting Notes
So far let me start by saying that I love this tea company and they have wonderful customer service and I’ve never been disappointed with any of their teas. I’ve been trying to go through my cabinet of teas I currently have and review them and this is tea #5 so far. Bear with me please; I try to due reviews as much as I can, but of course life gets in the way sometimes. Anyways, I decided to whip out my gaiwan and use that for this oolong. On the first steeping, the apple notes were very prominent and it had a certain sweetness to it. The second steeping, I tasted more vegetal notes with the apple a bit more subtle. On the third steeping, the vegetal taste came out way more, but I was still sweet with a hint of the apple. Overall, this tea had many surprises with a few steeping and held flavour really well. It was very balanced and enjoyable to my palate :3

I remember getting this tea and it smelt lovely, however when I went to try it at home I was thoroughly disappointed. It taste like hot fruit punch—YUCK. There is too much artificial flavouring in it and I’m not a big fan, however it actually makes a lovely ice tea! I wouldn’t recommend it as a hot tea, but I can deal with it iced. I won’t be buying this again.

So I had passed by Teavana the other day and couldn’t help but take a peek and I noticed that this tea was on sale. It was $10 for 5oz! Sounds like a deal to me! I don’t drink many white teas because I am more of a black tea/oolong drinker, but I’m always looking to try new teas. When I smelt this tea I could instantly smell the grape, but also the delicious scent of jasmine and when I sipped it, it tasted just like that. This tea is very mellow and has a strange grape taste, that I haven’t tried in many teas, followed by a wonderful jasmine flavour. I wasn’t a huge fan of the grape flavour, however it wasn’t too bad, but I probably wouldn’t buy it again.

So, I recently stopped by Teavana the other day and saw that they had this tea half off and knowing that this is the most expensive and unique tea they had, being a yellow tea, I had been waiting to give it a try! At first, this tea tastes closer to a Yunnan to me with a buttery and subtley sweet taste. I tried a second steeping, adding some of teavanas German rock salt, and noticed that the honey flavor was starting to show more. I tried steeping it a second time and noticed a more vegetal taste, but still with a hint of honey. Having never tried a yellow tea before I was pleasantly surprised! The price is a little steep for me, but I would definitely try it again if it were on sale. For now, I have a good 4oz to enjoy!

I’m new to Steepster, this is my first review, and I saw no one had reviewed this tea, so here I am. Anyways, I was searching around for some black dragon pearls that were more in my price range and I happened to find Enjoying Tea. They have one of the best prices I’ve seen and they seemed like a well-known website so I decided to give them a go. I order 4oz and got them within the week. I used 2 pearls per 8oz and brewed them for 5min. The first thing I noticed was the strong cocoa and chocolatey flavour. This tea is very full-bodied and is more close to a coffee. I even gave some to my friend, they thought it was coffee, and I told them no this is tea and it’s delicious! This is now my go to wake up tea due to how strong and full of flavour it is. If your looking for some affordable black dragon pearls then I highly recommend them from these guys.
