I am drinking this iced, and it’s decent. It was a bit tart, so I added sugar. There isn’t much pomegranate action, but the raspberry is present and very nice. I don’t know if I would buy a whole box of this tea, but if someone offered me a glass I wouldn’t pass it by.

It’s called Christmas Morning, but it happens to be a nice afternoon tea, too.

I am enjoying this tea. It’s just an honest, reliable tea that gives me the kick I need to get myself going. I have a definite caffeine buzz after two cups, and on a Monday morning that’s a good thing.

This decaf review skewed this down horribly. It’s quite malty. I think I read somewhere it’s all India- sourced. Not bitter like a couple I’ve had.

I should say I’m no IBT rookie; I think this is the 18th IBT I’ve had and it’s at least top ten. I’d rate it 87 or so, with potential to rise, based on a single cup.

It lacks the virtual perfection of Taylor’s of Harrogate or the ultra-expensive Adagio, but for the very reasonable price, it’s very good indeed.

If I liked to drink other than Irish Breakfast Teas, I’d try some of Wegmann’s other teas!

drank Queen Catherine by Harney & Sons

This could be love. I tried Queen Catherine after reading the many wonderful reviews about it here and at other sites. When a tea (or any object) is so loved I’m almost afraid to try it because I doubt there is any way for it to live up to all the hype. The Queen, however, rules. This tea is strong but not overbearing. There are slight notes of chocolate and coffee (maybe?) and a smokey note at the finish that I love. Such a lovely tea. I look forward to spending many more moments with the Queen.

Mellow and sweet with just enough tang from the grapefruit to provide balance.. This is a very nice tea. Easy to relax with, and easy to enjoy.

My morning pot of tea. I have avoided Irish Breakfast teas to this point because I thought I would find them too strong. For this blend at least I was definitely wrong. The tea is strong, but not bitter. There is a noticeable smokey taste at the end that I rather enjoyed, but also a smoothness. Highly enjoyable.

My daughter and I are getting ready to host a Christmas Tea, so when she saw this tea in the grocery store she said we had to try it. Into the cart it went. This afternoon we made cucumber sandwiches and cups of Nutcracker Sweet. My daughter loved it. She said it taste like snicker doodle cookies (she added sugar to her cup). I drank mine plain and did not enjoy it as much. There was a strange aftertaste. It wasn’t bitter, but it was… off. Next time I’ll add a bit of sugar, too.

After we had our tea my girl decreed that Nutcracker Sweet would be included in the tea party. And so it shall be. :)

drank Just Tea - Earl Grey by Wegmans
1118 tasting notes

I like Earl Grey, but I am not a fan of the tea when the Bergamot is over the top. This tea is well balanced for me. I smelled the Bergamot right away as it was steeping, and the citrus flavor was there at the first sip. It did not, however, overpower the black tea. As the tea cooled the citrus flavor began to fade. This might bother some people, but I did not mind. Over all, a decent cup.

drank Ginger Breakfast by Stash Tea

Today I have two sick kids tucked under blankets. Everyone in my house has a sore throat, and we are all grumpy. This made the choice for my morning pot of tea an easy one. I’m so glad I had this in the house today. Everyone enjoys it, and with a spoonful of honey stirred in it helps sooth scratchy throats. If today has to be bad at least the tea is good!

drank Orange Dulce by Mighty Leaf Tea
1118 tasting notes

Today has not been the best of days – sick kid, behind on laundry, a not-so-happy phone call. I wanted a tea that would be comforting and give me a lift. I chose Orange Dulce, and I chose well.

See previous tasting note for my thoughts on the actual tea.
