Before I review this tea:
Dear Dr. Stuart in the United Kingdom,
You have studied tea for 30 years and recommended a 3 minute steeping on a pu’erh tea that I found to be able to resteep a decent amount of times… if customers follow your directions you have just condemned your tea company at the expense of their taste buds.

Anyways: As for a pu’erh tea I found this to be very strong at 30s intervals so I went to 20s at 210f which gave a dark liquid that is quite nice. While I enjoy the taste of this tea, there is one ingredient that easily takes away 10+ points on a scale of a 100: red rose. The addition to rose in a pu’erh mixture with blackberries and raspberries is not very appealing because red rose has a very distinct taste that overtakes the sweetness in the tea. While the pu’erh is decent and surprisingly the blackberry leaf doesn’t burn, the aftertaste of rose makes me angry every-time I take a sip. This might be a personal preference, but honestly… rose is just too strong to mix with a delicate taste such as blackberry (which is also rare for us tea drinkers to find)
I am going to guess that someone who likes rose would enjoy this though.

I did not choose to drink this today, but here is why I did:
I had to take my mom to the emergency room today so I told my brother to get in the car and let’s go. Once my dad arrived I was given $20 to get food for us both and wait to see what happens (she will be staying over night) We ended up buying some food for me to cook (because I’m a great cook, pride can apply here) and when we got back I asked if he wanted some chai tea; my brother only drinks chai and bubble tea so that is why I offered it. I told him that I have a pound of chai upstairs I haven’t tried yet because it could be awful so I brought down two chais. This was the first and only one I had to make.

I normally rate teas down for not tasting as advertised, which this is true of because the bacon might not be in this tea… but, this chai is very well balanced and quite smooth with a great spice. Very unexpected as I have an absurd amount of this tea, I would think a lot of a tea would mean it isn’t as good due to pricing.
I used a heaping 15-20g for a 20ounce steeping and added a mere splash of milk to each 8ounce cup we drank. Of course I added whip creme and served it with sea salt caramel wafers :)
I will mark it down for not having the bacon taste, but for what it does taste like it excels.

P.S. I have more than enough to share so if you are ever wanting a chai let me know!

Cold steeped over night, drank about 1/2 gallon of this already.
I’m eating chocolate mint truffles from Christmas (I had over 10 pounds okay) while I drink this and it’s a fun time :)
Don’t brew this hot unless you’re sacrificing the liquid…

My guess is that children would think this is kool-aid if there was half pound of sugar added, then again any tea with half a pound of sugar becomes kool-aid…

Green oolong and green tea mix with exotic fruits? Count me in!
While it doesn’t brew nicely hot, it does provide a nice cold beverage with a taste that very people would be able to identify. That taste is quite unique because to me it’s a fruit that Big Bird from Sesame Street would eat… whatever that taste like.
In regards to rating, I’ve just had too many teas like this that are a bit better.

Being that is is May, I wouldn’t pick this tea out and drink it… also, it’s rooibos which isn’t as appealing during spring unless it is fruity and cold steeped. However, someone came to pick up their YUNOMI box last night and said they wanted to drink non caffeinated tea and this was their choice. I actually enjoyed drinking it because it wasn’t straight rooibos with pumpkin, the creaminess mixes with a pleasant woodsy note within the tea. Surprisingly a decent tea, but I’m still searching for a GREAT pumpkin tea. I bet this tea would mix very well with some warm cider :)

I went into World Market for the first time yesterday and realized I’ll be broke if I go there again… anyways, I found this yerba mate soda which sounded odd and decided to give it a try.

It’s basically carbonated water, sugar, and extracted yerba mate. Very strong detectable taste. Really enjoyable on a hot day :)

I drank an entire pot of this last night :)
Looking at the only other review on here kind of makes me curious… but, to clarify there is no citrus taste and astringency isn’t something I’d associate with this tea unless you over brew it of course.
175f for 90 seconds = really green liquid that makes one’s mouth happy :)
Lots of vegetable taste with a very fresh and smooth after taste. Even if I gave all the top of the package to others in the group buy, the bottom leaf is fantastic; just make sure to have the right steeping utensils.

Here’s to drinking a Japanese oolong for breakfast. I have been excited to try an oolong from Japan (I even have 3 kind!) so this was a looked forward to tea time. What I find interesting about this tea is that it taste very similar to a mild black tea if it was flavor was identified with the vegetable and fresh taste that Japanese teas have. Even though it’s an oolong tea, prepare yourself for a mild cup of black tasting tea with a kick of Japanese earth as I would call it. Very smooth. Again, very smooth.

This might be the smoothest darker green type of oolong that I’ve tasted thus far. It reminds me a lot of the first oolong I drank which entered me into the world of tea slowly. I’m unsure what roman letters to align together in creation of English words to conclude remarks for this tea… I just really enjoy it.
