1113 Tasting Notes
I am not going to explain this experience… you, yes you who is reading this, should try this yourself.
What I will inform you of is this: This is the Japanese equivalent to pu’er and is very interesting because it steeps for 10 minutes before it is ready to be drank.
I may or may not have a little extra that I would be willing to trade… what you should be thinking is “who will I drink this with?”
Was so looking forward to this…

Tea evaluation is in the after picture caption
Did you order this one too? I’m curious as to how others would rate it. The caramel chunks are just huge.
I sent a request for samples of:Vanilla Spiced Pear,Lady Grey, and Gin & Tonic. Hopefully she will sell one a sample of each. I decided I won’t base my view of Urban Earth on this tea alone so I need others for further evaluation.
This tea throws me back to highschool… the smell and taste trigger memories of mine which I have yet to have a tea do. Not entirely sure how to handle such an experience while sipping on a tea, while these are great memories it reminds me of the past which was a different me in a different place.
Anyways, this tea is darker than the Qilan which actually had dark olive leaves when I rebrewed it. This Queshe is a tea that I will thoroughly enjoy until it is gone. No texture left in the mouth after a drink and the warmth spews (sorry for that word) upwards through one’s mouth as the liquid goes down. The only negative part is the semi dryness that comes from drinking a lot of this… but maybe 8 ounces is more than I should sip on.
I still have more Wuyi Mountain teas to try before I determine which one I want to buy more of… but this might just already be one of them.
Disappointing :(
I’d okay with burnt Lucky Charm marshmallow taste… I think what I’m tasting is some genmaicha that sat on a wooden chair
I’ve never tried a lot of 52teas teas because they are flavoured. I love genmaicha and this one intrigued me but not anymore. Doesn’t sound very good.
I’ve had matcha and strawberry genmaicha as well, this is the worst I have had though. In Tokyo they have ground genmaicha at some resturants resturantsthat I tried… Rather weird to have powdered gemiacha. I am going to personally blend my own breakfast blueberry cobbler genmaicha sometime in July or August since I’m working on others right now.
While this is a very smooth taste, it does have a black tea taste to it- though that is no surprise. I will not rate this tea on my own taste, which is what I generally do, but rather I will rate it on the merits of aroma, freshness, and leaf quality. The integrity of this black oolong leaf is rather strong for a Japanese tea as it taste very fresh and has a very smooth taste. Though I personally am not a fan of black tea, this does not have that strong bitter taste that I associate with black teas so it would be preferred over a straight black tea for me.
I was somewhat confused as to what kind of tea this was since it was in a sample baggie that said custard filled maple long john. I don’t think I’ve drank honeybrush before, but this stuff is fantastic! Some light tasting heavy cream in this tea with a nice warm taste that comes alive as I sip on it. Quite happy I decided to randomly brew this today next to a blueberry green… what a contrast.
I drank many different types of bancha while I was in Tokyo this year and I’m thinking that maybe something was wrong with the sample of this I got… maybe, maybe not. I am not going to rate this because I’m unsure how to even do so after drinking this. The taste was a bit off though it brewed just fine.
Bought some Chinese Yunnan Maofeng Maohou Bud because I like the silver that is wrapped around the green leaf. This tea was somewhat mild and had a very wild taste to it. I liked it enough to drink 8ounces of it, but I’m not sure how many more times I will want to drink this tea yet because it is odd.
I drank a lot of tea today :)

I am very excited to try my own. Did you Gongfu or western brew it?
I made a huge pot of it at once with a nice amount of leaf. I will say, the leaf is very large in size too (it was hard to package as well).
