Liquid Proust Send Message

Like most shengs I have encountered, this is very astringent for the first few steeps. That is why I skipped steep 3,4,5, and 6. I drank steep 7 to 12 of this tea and enjoyed it.
Brewed 190f for 15 seconds per steep. Nothing that jumps out from it, but the late steeps are pleasant.

OH HELL YEAH!
My best friend came over last night and we picked out five pretty high end teas to drink with this included. We only ended up drinking three because we resteeped this tea four different times. This is one sneaky tea,who would of known it was a black tea by tasting it?
Water at 205f poured right over these guys. The lychee is strong and last throughout the steeps.
Now I want to know where I can find me some black pearls without jasmine in them so I can start to play with them.

While we knew it would taste good, we both had to drink around 6 cups of this to play around with the temperature and times. In the end it is a tricky tea to brew, but even as someone who hates coffee I find myself liking this tea. The grapefruit isn’t noticeable, but it can be eaten after its been brewed :)
My best friend was really diligent with tasting through this and I’m going to let her decide the steeping advice.

Drank this yesterday at work because my first day had to be teabag day since I had no pot.

Anyways, this was done quite well and I enjoyed it. I didn’t get to sip it slow, rather I just drank this down :)

I brewed this to go along with my cereal (which I haven’t ate in months…) and couldn’t even finish it. David’s Teas has many other nutty teas that are great, but this one not so much.
My scapegoat would be to say: This is black tea.
However, if anyone saw my drinking habits as they evolve, such a statement would be invalid from me.

Cold steeped this one and it’s ’ight
I wish the flavors would come out without having to steep it longer because the tea becomes bitter by time the fruit comes through

My taste buds are spoiled when it comes to sencha and gyokuro… unfortunately this just isn’t that smooth and the astringent notes are very noticeable in this tea.

This is one bitter ass tea… I drank it after my shower this morning and it surely woke me up, in a way that I wasn’t expecting… had to spit this one out.

However these were created: Great job!
These are not powerful which is why I like them. Most jasmine pearls that I have are just drowning in jasmine flavor. These are not too dry either which is 100% normal for jasmine drinks and my taste buds.
I hope my jasmine teas turn out something like this :)

I dislike Jiagoluan… so with that being said: I am not a fan.
However, these are much different than just Jiagoluanwhich is pretty nice to experience the difference of taste that it takes on because of the roasting process.
