74 Tasting Notes
The hibiscus scent is very strong from this brewed cup, as is the flavor. You can clearly taste the fruit, especially from the red berry and lemon, but the hibiscus leaves a somewhat heavy floral taste there that makes everything else taste just a little off. Sadly, the tea is a bit bitter, even with sweetener added, and even through the best filter I’ve ever used, there are floaties in the bottom of the cup. Maybe its better iced…
I don’t even usually like liquorice, and this is one of my favorite teas! It tastes sweet, slightly spicy but not overwhelming. The loose tea is beautiful with pink peppercorns and big green cardamom pods. It smells delicious, like chai and candy, and doesn’t require much added sweetener. The color could be prettier, but isn’t a drawback. A must buy whenever I’m in Disney World’s Epcot!
I thought that this tea was beautifully colored – that heavy, vibrant purple-red that immediately tells you that this tea is not weak. Sweeter than most teas on its own, I’d still suggest some form of sweetener to help it along. Overbrewing makes it taste medicinal. Tastes better iced. Can convince the kids to drink this one.
Tea bags were not strong – even before opening, there was loose tea floating around the box. Use an infuser even with the tea bag.
