An instant hit of menthol with a uniquely pleasant earthiness! A wonderful tinge from the ginger on the back of the throat and a happy overall mouth feel! This tea just makes me want to smile and curl up with a book! A perfectly refreshing tea!I have some left so I can’t wait to try it iced!
Preparation
A very pleasant mintyness with a great, relaxing chamomile taste. There’s a very unique earthiness from that Laoshan that gives it a velvety tongue feeling. Comforting and light, this tea is interesting in such a way that when I finish my sip, I get no chocolate. But the moment I go for another sip, I get a big chocolate aroma. So this tea works for me in the end. Curious indeed! With the second steep, this tea opens up that amazing chocolate aroma and full, earthy taste!

This is the first of many teas from the extremely creative team at Verdant Tea. I’ve been more than anxious and excited to try this particular unique blend of interesting, exotic ingredients. This has been my first ever Frankincense experience!
First sip is an instant explosion of a quality oolong tea. By far the smoothest and cleanest I’ve yet tasted. There is a definitive taste of citrus, mainly orange, and jasmine with a pleasant hint of an oily, woodsy note that I can only assume is the Frankincense! Right now I would be perfectly content with drinking this tea for the rest of my days but, alas, I have another few hundred or so to go! This tea was so good, I ended up purchasing 300g and it is also my first 100/100!
Preparation
I hope you steeped several times since the frankincense opens up with each steep. I cold brew the leftover leaves in water in the frig. David and I were talking about incense when I was creating my blog teaandincense.com and the next thing I know he had created this tea.

Smells like a sweet, floral, nutty cake! Surprisingly and beautifully sweet with characteristics of a flavoured fruit tea. Sweet, light, full of flavour. I get a slight nuttiness at the end, no bitterness whatsoever. It reminds me of a simple cake with nuts and wild honey. This has easily become a top black tea!
Preparation
Smelling of herbal sweet medicine, this tea had a very tart and herbal afternote that was a bit overwhelming and masked other flavours. I found that the eucalyptus in this tea wasn’t essential to the overall flavour. When iced and sweetened, this tea was still a bit tart where you get a slightly dry mouth feeling. Overall not a favourite tea, but it was refreshing and tart.

Mild, yet spicy. Instant tingling sensation from all that ginger on the tongue and the back of the throat. A very clean ginger flavour, which would pair nicely with honey when sick I’m sure. Overall this tea is a nice and simple blend that I quite enjoyed! Sore throats be warned!

Got this super marked down at Indigo, and boy am I glad! A sweet minty hit with a great spicy, herbal note from the Basil. The cucumber is only but a whisper, however there is a mellowness to this tea. The sweet/tart of the blueberry is a great added touch! Overall a refreshing tea that I cannot wait to try iced!

This tea has quite the citrus herbal scent to it! I would put this in a chicken dish haha! The taste has a great herbalness from the Mate with a nice and balanced sweet citrus taste. Extremely simple, and because of that I thoroughly enjoyed it!
